The third release on Hugo Ibarra and Uvo's Intemporal Music imprint finds the label bosses stepping into the production spotlight. The Mexican duo have been one of this year's most talked about production acts. After teaming up in late 2013 Hugo and Uvo have gone on an incredible run that has seen them appear on Dopamine Music, Perspectives Digital, Movement Recordings and a host of other top underground imprints. Their debut single on Intemporal is entitled 'Mystery' and it comes with remixes from Jamie Stevens and Silinder. 
Hugo and Uvo's most recent single 'Isolate' was regarded by many key DJs as their best work to date; 'Mystery' however might be even better. Built around a seductive and groovy bass line this gyrating slice of hypno-funk is tailor made for today's progressive dance floors. Drummy builds and phasing atmospheric pads push the energy levels higher which eventually beckons the main break. Here a sequence of bubbly textures twists through an elusive progression before a quick build summons the groove back for a big payoff. A colossal record from two of Mexico's brightest stars.

Jamie has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of Australia's most talented and sought after music producers he has proven his skill in professional sound design, music scores for film and contemporary dance music. As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian electronic live act, he's left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric- London, Pacha - Buenos Aires, Womb- Tokyo and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. In his home country, Infusion has received 2 prestigious ARIA awards for their work. More recently 'The Wonder of You', released in 2013, turned out to be one of Jamie's career best pieces of work. It earned a #1 chart placing in both Tech House and Electronica on Beatport and was widely regarded as one of the year's best releases. For his 'Mystery' interpretation Jamie has overhauled the track into a compelling bass heavy beast. With a groove that could only be described as subterranean this fantastic foundation lays the framework for a positively glowing top end. Haunting motifs, luminous tones and sheets of granular haze cast a surreal vibe over the record. The main break exudes a fuzzy effervescent build which furthers the magical vibe and sets up a rousing conclusion. 
The second and final interpretation of 'Mystery' is provided by Silinder who is also making his first appearance on Intemporal. The Irish producer has been a mainstay of the progressive and tech house underground for almost 8 years now. Always a firm favourite with Hernan Cattaneo, Silinder has also appeared on the famed DJs Sudbeat Music imprint three times; with the most recent being a contribution to the label's highly regarded Sudbeats 2 compilation from June of this year. For his 'Mystery' interpretation Silinder has worked more of his hypnotic magic. His deeper, introspective vision proves to be a great complement to the original. Well sequenced electronics, alluring grooves and evocative themes are just some of the tracks finest hallmarks; but it's blissful, almost melancholic outlook maybe it's strongest suit. An incredible interpretation from Silinder which rounds out a very strong offering from Intemporal. Don't miss it.

Back in the day, DJs had to lug around at least 13 kilograms of vinyl records for a gig, usually requiring costly taxis or limousines for transportion. Today’s refined disque jockey can effortlessly fit their entire music collection into a backpack and take a Bike Ride to the Club – which is the name of the new EP by Andrew McDonnell. The Toronto-based DJ/producer first appeared on AMAM’s 2014 compilation The Sun Has Woken Up, and now he’s back with six new smooth tech-house tracks. 

“Manazana” sets the stage with a spartan groove, wiping the slate clean before pulling a rabbit out of its hat: halfway through comes the barrage of whistling synthetic wind, opening up a new dimension on the dancefloor. “Itajaí”, named after the Brazilian city, distinguishes itself with a funked, crunchy sound and skippy percussive punctuation. Over in Japan, McDonnell takes a slyer approach with “Maruyamacho” and “Tokyo Station”, combining a kinetic pulse with on atmospheric textures. Then the beat gets darker with “Union Station”, covered in industrial debris. Finally, “Holywell Lane” is marked by dubby pads and a handmade feel with a syncopated rhythm, ending the journey.

But wait, all these track titles refer to different locations across the globe. If we’re playing international gigs, how are we supposed to use our bike? Don’t worry, there’s plenty of room in the private jet.

Christian Smith is one of the world’s leading exponents of techno, both as a DJ and producer he is always bold and innovative. With his output in recent years it is hard to imagine a list of prolific producers without his name towards the top. He has been at the top of his game for over a decade with his trademark groovy techno.

In 1997 he started his label Tronic, since then it has dominated the charts with releases from Christian himself and the likes of Chus & Ceballos, ANNA, Paco Osuna, Loco & Jam, Kaiserdisco, Enrico Sangiuliano, Nick Curly and more. The label is now the No.3 top selling techno label in the world according to Beatport, and it has celebrated more than 200 releases.

Tronic also has a weekly show which is now syndicated to over 100 stations worldwide, their 200th show was celebrated with special guest Adam Beyer.

Christian has dominated the charts and DJ’s playlists with a steady flow of releases on many high profile labels like Plus8/Minus, Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock, Mobilee and Tronic. His latest EP “Force Majeure” released in July 2016 on Drumcode, was straight in at No3, and stayed Beatports Techno Top 10 for over a month.

He has released three landmark solo albums; “Omakase” in 2013 which secured worldwide praise with a superb selection of tracks that showcased his versatility as a producer. 

His follow up was with “Stranger Than Paradise” in 2016 he released the 11 track musical journey “Input-Output”. The album was followed by an extensive album tour in over 20 countries and two extensive remix packages released early 2017 with artists including Pig&Dan, Julian Jeweil and legend Laurent Garnier all on rework duty.

Last October Christian released his new collaboration project 'Synergy' and spent the 9 months producing tracks with a number of standout artists in their studios, which took him all over the world.
