Is it a dream, a Jungian fantasy, a deep dive into the repressed psyche? Is it a malfunction? Or is it the one place where you can escape from the repetitive drone of the hive mind?

"Interlink: B" is the second V/A release from Unimatrix Zero, a collection of tracks from our friends across the North American dance music community and beyond. The release is accompanied by a limited edition custom fragrance available in a 10 mL roll-on, “The Mutation” – a blend of various musks, black hemlock, and bay leaf – a spicy, botanical scent with a hint of smoke and vanilla.

LDY OSC, a Bunker NY alum based in Vienna with roots in Mexico City and NYC, kicks things off with a gritty, acidic bassline gradually unfurling into percussive madness in “Untitled 303606,” a noise-tinged rave workout that’s a masterclass in restraint and tension. Philadelphia-via-NYC’s M Parent’s “Low End Loser” takes us back to the depths with his signature sharply mixed, low-slung electro, punctuated with the cheeky-yet-demented vocals we’ve all come to know and love from the artist. Alonzo, hailing from Brooklyn via Miami, continues the theme of tough, heady low-end in a rough-and-tumble electro number, “White Sheets.”

Next up is NYC’s Escaflowne, who offers a hint of melodic levity grounded in a classic techno groove with a strong sense of Midwest shuffle on “CZ Beat.” CHAINLETTER’s “Drum Bop 3” delivers on its title - a slinky percussive bop suited for a psychedelic forest frolic. Hailing from Durham, NC, they’re a welcome addition to this collection of tracks. Finally, label co-founder Guilt Attendant teams up with M Parent for their collaboration “Shake It (Philly Swing Mix),” departing from their previous dub techno excursions as Modal Form with a twisted, trippy number recorded live in Parent’s home studio in Philadelphia.

The second to last track of the set (Point Break by Nigel Richards @nigel611) is one of the first dance music records I ever purchased on a trip to Philadelphia's 611 Records after high school classes in 1994. When I touched the needle to the vinyl I was 100% frightened by the caustic vibes. It is an absolutely mental tune and it still scares me to this day...

Lab Personnel - Marked For Dissasembly [Bella Ursa Recordings // BUR-016]

Hailing from Croatia, Lab Personnel is a musical collaboration turned collective and label between many like-minded artists such as Goran Lautar (aka Neon Lies), Jasmin Mahmić (aka Le Chocolat Noir, Fiume & more), Luka Kurjan (aka Man of Cloth), Marijan Katić, Nikola Kos (aka Ikonal) and Saša Rajković (aka Zarkoff, part of Sumerian Fleet, part of Neugrau & more). Over the years, they would occasionally meet for and record lengthy sessions of improvisational music. 'Marked for Disassembly' is their latest output.

This time, deep within the skeletal remains of an abandoned chemical processing plant, eight of their members captured the disquieting essence of a world suspended between haunting melodies and forgotten industry. Immersed in an atmosphere of palpable musical anxiety, their machines oozed up a sonic alchemy of experimental EBM where strange syncopated drums meet with eerie acid lines and gooey textures.

"Marked for Disassembly" is set to be released on Mar 20th across all digital platforms, accompanied by a beautiful UV printed cassette.
