Interlock's first EP comes courtesy of All Trades, who turned heads last year when he won Special Request’s sample pack production competition. With a recent release on Shubzin and two Warehouse Rave releases round the corner, the Blackburn-born local now joins forces with the rest of the Interlock crew: brought together via Liverpool’s Melodic Distraction radio and the Altered Voltage parties.

His Xuigt EP lands listeners straight in the warehouse via some glitch in the matrix involving squeaking ballroom shoes and a cool-headed groove that just won’t quit. On the flip, it’s all about getting swept back into the broken techno fold: runaway perc and monolithic kick drums heckle each other on the B1, before the final showdown on B2 sees skittering jungle breaks go head to head with hardcore flavours.

As a first outing, the record’s got ‘teaser’ written all over it — snaking chameleonic threads of glitch, IDM, industrial and UK rave through a labyrinth of pure dancefloor power. Which direction is the label headed in? Whatever’s next, it’ll probably be fun, slick, and weirdly produced.
