Lorde - What Was That (Après Effex Edit) 

my club edit for lorde’s new single ‘what was that’ is out now on soundcloud and bandcamp :)

made back in early may after listening to the track for the first time, as i was immediately drawn to create something anthemic & textural with the vocals. grew up listening to her music, so it felt fitting to put this together.

shelved for a couple of months due to the logic file corrupting after exporting v1 so it may sound a bit rough/unpolished, but nonetheless, i'm happy with how it turned out and thought i'd share it with you all for general listening !

Internal Recordings (c. 2024) is an in-house record label, imprint, radio network, and sound studio powered by Studio Luis Perez-Casasola, an inter-disciplinary film studio & design practice in San Francisco, California. 

Specializing in the publication and distribution of in-house recordings and film scores, the label also serves as a space for sound design, music production, audio-visual projects, sonic experimentation & music curation. 

The label is also runs an independent radio network and music curation space known as Internal Radio, hosted & run by label head, Luis Perez-Casasola. The station features open-format mixes, guest mixes & the "tape" series.
