Mrmaked makes his debut on Timeless Records with an aesthetic "rediscovered" recording, like a fragment of a lost broadcast.

'Bad Orientation' comes from a jam recorded between Mrmaked, Jules Bonnot and tabache at the Lazzaretto Autogestito squat in Bologna. The jam was entirely recorded through an old cassette player because the sound card for the multi-track suddenly stopped working. Also in this track are melodic sequences that Mrmaked had prepared during the T.A.Z. days in June; which were played over the organic rhythms of Jules Bonnot, and then everything was reworked by tabache in post-production.

The E.P. It's characterized by dense, grainy sound textures, and the tape adds that dirty warmth that makes everything more alive and physical. The improvisational, almost ritualistic approach is strong, with vintage synths that move between ethereal atmospheres and marked rhythmic impulses. Mrmaked sound lies between lo-fi ambient, minimal synth and a touch of primitive industrial.

Having defined a multi-dimensional sonic universe on their acclaimed eponymous debut album, composer/filmmaker Chris Hunt and Korn’s James “Munky” Shaffer abandon the familiar and drift towards a kingdom of recursion on EXINFINITE, staring down a tangled mass of mirrored wormholes that hum with eldritch ambiguity.

On ‘Tear’, the duo’s new direction can be heard clearly as Shaffer’s primal guitar noises are reformed into eerie widescreen expositions that Hunt punctuates with pneumatic kick and snare cycles. Broken up by airlock hisses and luminous synths, the track proposes a backdrop that VENERA continuously transmute, reforging the concept as the album develops.
