Starting with Boards of Canada, Röyksopp or Tokimonsta, Adone discovered techno, electronica, break and trip-hop at the age of 9. Since then, he feeds his mind with unstructured rhythms, nostalgic melodies and basically, an abstract universe. 

Since 2018, he describes this universe in his musical productions as an inner dialogue, an introspective quest, a journey through his mind. 

Music reflects souls and gathers hearts, it is with this idea in mind that in 2021, the young producer gives birth to the project Noise Workers. An audiovisual experience mixing arts and provoking meetings between artists of all horizons through podcasts, interviews, multidisciplinary shows etc. 

Today, Aedon proposes his second EP for Matière. Called Musical Memory Garden, it's 7 tracks that perfectly illustrate his influences. The EP also contains a remix of the Parisian founder of Hard Love Motor Love, Trois Quarts Taxi System who released last year his first album on the label.

Author of the soundtrack of the documentary "Les Délivrés" by Thomas Grandremy, the reference of electronic music Maxime Dangles extends his composition work with this album. The alienation, stress, struggle and hope of the documentary's protagonists were his sources of inspiration. The soundtracks of the journey of these bicycle delivery men have been transformed into tracks to carry the struggle of Damien, Clément and Yoro further and continue to denounce the excesses of capitalism. A work that poetically extends the poignant and necessary work of the director, with an impeccable and immersive sound design, enamelled with dialogues from the documentary.

The result is nine tracks between ambient, IDM and electronica, exploring the story from all angles and feelings; from union demands and the struggle with "Affrontement", an incisive track inviting reflection to raw and metallic sounds or "Révolte", on the borders of destructured club music and IDM; from hope to dreams with the contemplative and deep "Velibre", “Matin Bleu” and "Liberate" or the melodious "Vitesse"; anguish and disillusionment with "Operate", the melancholic "Matin Rose" or the experimental and immersive "Mauvais Rêve", punctuated with the voices of the documentary.

A militant sound narrative of great finesse, affirming the richness of Maxime Dangles' production work and his ability to draw singular landscapes from which strong emotions emerge, following in the footsteps of Hans Zimmer, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' original soundtracks, while exploring the most experimental side of club music.

'Les Délivrés' LP will be available on vinyl and digital February, 17th on Lifeguards - a new sub-label of Astropolis Records, and Maxime Dangles will premiere his new live show at Astropolis l'Hiver February, 11th alongside Kittin & The Hacker, SPFDJ, Volition Immanent, Infravision or Zohar.

Profits will be donated to French association Utopia 56:
The vinyl will be distributed by Bigwax and all profits will be donated to Utopia 56, a humanitarian association that helps exiled people and anyone in distress in France. Since 2015, the association has been present in Calais to provide emergency material aid and denounce human rights violations and police violence, and through numerous actions throughout France. The association provides emergency aid on the ground for vulnerable people, particularly unaccompanied minors, through outreach activities, distribution of food and shelter.

As 2023’s clock ticks, we’ve been fully immersed to present you
with our next release, by the mysterious collective YHVHSQUAD.

With releases on mystical labels such as Zodiac Music, Syhda Music or Kurnugû, this magnificent group hails from Japan and brings us some of the most exquisite, experimental and interesting productions, merging dark textures and atmospheres with organic, tribal, mechanical, hypnotic and industrial drum patterns. To spice it up, they add layers of noise and distortion that result in a very unique style and outcome amongst the Drum and Bass / Halftime scene. 

In their own words, their attitude and devotion to the programming is what brings their aesthetic to life and when asked on how they like to describe their music, “Stoic” and “Taciturn” put meaning to their work. They catched our attention immediately, since we’ve discovered their music, and after a well-deserved spotlight on our previous release with the track “疾風 [Shippu]”, we’re delighted to have unveil this release from them on the label!

YHVHSQUAD present us with a very solid 4 track EP, in their own style, named “ 寄 生 [ki-sei]”, also the name for one of the tracks included. Hailing from Japan, we tried to use the little to none English references but we found out that 寄生 means “Parasite”, perhaps a subliminal hint to understand the concept of this EP and of their music.
