Before the great celebration of Astropolis summer (Brest, France), its label DÔME, which highlights the local scene from French Brittany strikes back with a new Various EP and presents four new talents of its 2023 contest from the four corners of Brittany. This second compilation focuses on the darkness of the depths, from dark ambient to acid techno, between ritual rhythms and industrial sounds.

Namscha, from north Brittany, takes uneven paths where sounds tumble, clash, follow each other or slip away. Her Bal ancestral, dark and bizarre, blurs the border between nature and technology with sounds borrowed from both ritual music and modern tools. 

The four Breton artists sign here a well-calibrated EP and explore, each in their own way, the darkest corners of techno. The final object surprises by the richness of its sound palette as much as by the harmony of its whole. Catch Rheist, Noctam, Namscha and Ephere at Astropolis this summer (June 28th > July 2nd) alongside Boys Noize, VTSS & Nene H, Daniel Avery & Helena Hauff, LSDXOXO, Josey Rebelle or Salome.

The magical gardens of Beatriz and the misty northern forests are two distant places where sounds and objects merge into a single sound matter. What do we hear in the dark fairy-tale thickets familiar to our culture, what sounds does the forest bring to our minds? Inspired by these sources of magic, Beatriz invited 20 artists to assemble and present a unified sound landscape of the enchanted Beatriz Gardens.

In a world where everyday routine and evanescence often drown out our inner desire for reflection and sublimity, Beatriz decided to go in search of the eternal. «Enchanted» will be the first chapter of the dive into the world of questions that music asks its listener. They invite you to go on a fabulous journey through the world of experimental ambient and ethereal waves.

The compilation «Garden of Beatriz: Enchanted» was born a year ago, in the wake of our camp at the Signal Festival 2022. The compilation is scheduled to premiere on July 21st. The release will be available on all platforms.

Islyz is a graphic and type designer, as well as a calligrapher, who creates the album covers for Bardouin Music.
When it comes to music, she mainly draws inspiration from the UK scene, as seen in her recent releases on Tsunami Recordings, Blue Night Jungle, Le Ciel, and Reptilian Business Records. Her sets offer a diverse mix of post-club and deconstructed music, catchy breaks, and laid-back rhythms, as well as introspective tunes with darker and more industrial sounds.

For its tenth release, 909 Connection is back with a 5-track EP based on an original concept. Taking Swooh's track Artificial Limbo as a starting point, 4 producers followed one another, each appropriating elements from the previous artist to create a cascade of remixes. 

After an ambient intro Patriarchal Himbo, produced by Islyz, builds to a powerful dancehall rhythm, culminating in a breakcore/IDM climax.

About Let's Collapse

Let’s Collapse is a collaboration EP between Pixelord and Max Dahlhaus in Moscow and Berlin, respectively. The illusion of the global village, which it seems like yesterday’s, collapsed due to the outbreak of covid-19, but none of this can prevent people from contacting each other. This EP shows how the artists feel in it.

Both artists are good at creating cold music, and the collision of ideas has produced many wonderful changes in the results. The whole EP is like a roaring turbo engine, and the huge sound continuously presses our hearts. There is always some strange but beautiful sound between the heavy drums and the rough background noise, when they appear, it will make the listener's scalp tremble like two sharp pieces of metal rubbed in a flash. All these sounds constitute a sci-fi world, and the rich details bring people into endless spaces of imagination. The world is constantly destroyed and rebuilt in the journey of the seven tracks, and the epic ending leaves all this to the unknown.
