Feat. Fem: Wie bist du zum Auflegen gekommen? 

AZIL: Ich habe vor ca 2 Jahren angefangen einfach super viele Tracks zusammen zu suchen und dadurch auch sehr viel Lust bekommen, die einfach selber mal zu spielen. Mit dem 2. Lockdown habe ich dann auch viel Zeit mit Freund*innen verbracht, die mit Platten aufgelegt haben. Das war super interessant für mich, so dass ich dann selber immer mal gespielt und umher probiert habe. Ein guter Freund hat mich dann immer mal mit in Plattenläden genommen und schon war die Faszination da und die eigenen Platten wurden immer mehr.

Feat. Fem: Wie würdest du deinen Sound beschreiben? 

AZIL: Auf jeden Fall dramatisch und cheesy haha. Ich mags wenn Tracks viel zu erzählen haben. 

Feat. Fem: Wer oder was inspiriert dich zu deiner Musik? 

AZIL: Die 90er und alles was in diesem Jahrzehnt passiert ist. Ich finde es spannend was damals entstanden ist und wie sich die ganze Elektronische Szene über die Jahre entwickelt hat. 

Feat. Fem: Wonach suchst du beim Diggen nach neuer Musik?  

AZIL: Meistens komme ich durch Labels auf neue Musik. Gefällt mir ein Track, checke ich oft direkt das Label und schaue was sie schon so rausgehauen haben und werde damit auch sehr schnell fündig. Manchmal kann aber auch die 3 € Trance Kisten im Plattenladen eine wahre Goldgrube sein.
 
Feat. Fem: Wo würdest du gerne mal spielen? 

AZIL: 2 Stunden Trance im IfZ an Silvester haha. 

Feat. Fem: Du hast eine Zeit lang in Budapest gelebt. Welche Rolle spielt die Budapester Szene in deinem musikalischen Werdegang? 

AZIL: Budapest war vom musikalischen Vibe für mich nochmal komplett neu. Weil die Musik schon ziemlich hart war und auf den meisten Partys Industrial lief. Es war ein ziemlicher unterschied zu dem schon eher housigem Sommer in leipzig. Dafür hat’s mich aber dann doch super schnell mitgerissen und hat irgendwie auch Einfluss auf mich genommen. Ist zwar nicht meine Lieblingsstil, aber einen Einfluss auf die Schnelligkeit hatte es auf jeden Fall.
