did so many collaborations with great musicians and friends, but there is one left. He is a great pianist and surely has a great future ! ... We made friends thru SC a while ago and helped each other here and there, so I will dedicate my next piece to him. We never met (this may come one fine day) but our music is like an invisible band between us !

This theme is reprised several times, called The Heart Asks Pleasure First/The Promise/The Sacrifice. It is based on a traditional Scottish tune titled "Gloomy Winter's Noo Awa".

The instrument is a Clavia Nord Stage 2, using a sampled Yamaha C7 grand piano, and one single note of sampled strings.

Dirk Maassen composes wonderful short piano pieces inspired by contemporary composers such as Yann Tiersen and Ludovico Einaudi. 

I took on his invitation to record any of his piano pieces, and told him I would record 'Addio'... just to find out that there was no score! ... So after working directly with him the score was created and here is my take on it.
