After a seriously tip top Fleetwood Mac gig last night, I woke up with several of there tunes still running around my brian.

Hi Everyone,
Here's a recording from a very special night on New Year's Eve a couple of years ago. They let me sing one of my favourite songs in the world - 'Nobody Does It Better' by Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager. "They" being the kind folk at Turning Pirate for the annual New Year's Eve Mixtape in Vicar Street, Dublin. On band leading was one Mr. Gavin Glass; busy exploring the inner workings of his favourite guitar to the benefit of everybody in the room. Tinkling our ivories was our very own, and very dapper, Mr. Cormac Curran. On drums sat an elegantly splayed and angelic Mr. Graham Hopkins whilst on the holy waves of the Hammond swam the effervescent dream of Justin Carroll. On guitar number 2 trickled the supple fingers of one Mr. Travis Lyon whose body was being shaken by the deep bass old-soul of new-kid-on-the-block Mr. Joe Furlong. Blasting out the brass was the effervescent Alison Reynolds on tenor sax, the unquenchable Chris Rooney on trombone, the rhapsodical Kev Foran on trumpet and last, but never least, the staggeringly irrepressible Donagh Molloy on trumpet.  All captured and mixed beautifully by one Mr. Andy Knightley. Enjoy.

Interskalactic have firmly marked their place as a truly unique festival and party favourite in Ireland. Adding their modern big band flavour to first-wave, old-school Jamaican ska, Interskalactic have brought this infectious music that first exploded worldwide with celebrations of Jamaican independence in the ‘60s back into the live music scene of today! 

Interskalactic are no strangers to having their audience dancing for two hours straight and still calling for more! Their upbeat set features covers from classic ska artists including The Skatalites, Byron Lee & the Dragonaires and Prince Buster, combined with their ska-ified versions of popular hits from the last few decades and more recently with their own original compositions! 

Recent stellar live performances include:

• Electric Picnic, Body&Soul, Cork Jazz Festivals
• Opened for Madness M.A.D.H.E.A.D. Tour in Ireland’s largest indoor venues 3Arena Dublin and The Odyssey Arena Belfast
• performances in prestigious venues Vicar Street and Whelans and at countless festivals, events, parties and venues all over the country. 

With some original material due for release later this year, Interskalactic are set to stay on this trajectory throughout 2016 and beyond!
