We're happy to host Interstate 55 duo as the next guest of our famous Apparel Radio Show. The Interstate 55 project was born of a friendship between two young students, Chris and Alex, at a warehouse party in South Chicago in 1995. Press correspondents for Coda and Trax Magazine between Chicago and Paris, the two guys helped promote the Underground sound in Europe, interviewing some of the greatest legends: Paul Johnson, Cajmere, Derrick Carter, Dance Mania Crew and more. 25 years after the most beautiful private parties, Alex returns to the mix to promote the underground once again, through various Radio Shows on SoundCloud, with current tones and the launch of a label planned for next year. Welcome to Interstate 55 and their mix, on the 255th episode of the Apperel Music's Apparel Radio Show.

House #Saladcast 944 - Interstate 55

The Interstate 55 project was born of a friendship between two young French and American students, Alex and Chris, at a warehouse party on the south side of Chicago in 1995. Press correspondents for Coda and Trax Magazine in Paris and Chicago for 3 years, the two boys helped promote the Midwestern sound in Europe, interviewing some of Chicago's biggest legends. The duo also helped book as many Chicago DJs on the Paris scene for public and private parties, and several bookings on major Paris radio stations. 25 years after the best parties, Interstate 55 is back mixing to promote the underground again on SoundCloud since last year, with "the Lake Shore Drive series", and several invitations on the best radio shows. This new set, mixed by Alex for House Saladcast, attempts to recapture the energy of the old mix tapes with a wide variety of tracks, often recent, but sometimes much older.  In a few days' time, Alex and Chris meet again in Chicago. The opportunity to relaunch the Interstate 55 project exactly as it was 25 years ago, promote the underground sound and prepare new musical productions on a new dedicated label.

Now live at the Blur Podcasts, the DJ duo - Interstate 55! 

Having met in 1995 at a warehouse party on the south side of Chicago, they became press correspondents for Coda and Trax Magazine in Paris and Chicago for 3 years, with the two boys helping promote the Midwest sound in Europe, interviewing some of Chicago's biggest legends. The duo then evolved into an artist collective that helped book several Chicago DJs at public and private parties on the Paris scene, and several bookings on major radio stations. 

25 years after the best parties, the Interstate 55 collective is back to promote the underground on SoundCloud since last year, with “The Lake Shore Drive Series” podcasts, several invitations on top radio shows, and the release of the first productions planned for next year.

Lake Shore Drive Series | Episode 14

The Interstate 55 project was born of a friendship between two young
French and American students in 1995, at a party in a warehouse on the
south side of Chicago. Press correspondents between Paris and Chicago
for 3 years, the two guys created a team of friends dedicated to
promoting the Midwest sound in Europe, interviewing the biggest legends
and booking many Chicago DJs for parties and major radio stations.

30 years after the best private parties, the Interstate 55 crew is back
at the mix, once again promoting the underground through the best Radio
Shows and the Lake Shore Drive Series on SoundCloud.

Press correspondents for Coda and Trax Magazine between Paris and Chicago for 3 years, the two guys helped promote the Midwest sound in Europe. Interviews with the biggest legends such as Paul Johnson, Derrick Carter, Cajmere, Gemini, Boo Williams, Dance Mania Crew. The duo also helped to book many Chicago DJs on the Paris scene for public and private parties, and bookings on major radio stations.

25 years on from the best parties, Interstate 55 is back at the mix to promote underground once again, with current and older sounds, through the finest Radio Shows and the Lake Shore Drive Series. Deep, funky, bumpy, hard, soulful... House music is a reflection of life. It's a trip.
