We're delighted to welcome back our friend Mersel for his second EP on the label. Since his first release in 2020, he has chosen to expand his artistic universe by presenting a more psychedelic techno approach infused with tangy tones that he crafts using modular systems and the legendary TB303 sounds.

His EP titled "Biome" reflects the ecosystems that surround us, defined by the vegetation and animal species that inhabit it. This concept of balance and symbiosis with the natural world served as inspiration for Mersel in creating this release, which combines organic and electronic sounds.

The EP kicks off with "High Plateaus," a slow and atmospheric ambient track that immerses us in a deep and rich landscape. The next track, named "Taiga," is a downtempo piece with catchy and textured trance-like bass lines. "Tundra" then epitomizes the focal point of this EP with a deeper techno sound, characterized by cyclical synthesizer movements and a frenetic rhythm. Finally, the last track plunges us into a heavy groove accentuated by ethereal pads and raw acidic bass lines.

Every now and then we accidentally encounter musical masters we've never heard of, people who've been in the game, parallell to ours, for years or even decades, without bringing us to attention. And then one day stars just align: right time, right place, a great soundsystem, good people and a good amount of acidic buzz. Such was the moment when we first encountered Obri, a Georgian DJ who had us hypnotized from start to end with flawless selctions and mixing skills up in the Carpathian mountain range in 2023.

With releases on Boshke Beats, Horns & Hoofs and Dragonfly Records, and recent DJ appearances at Berlin institutions HÖR and Sisyphos, Obri has crafted his own, unique take on authentic and timeless lysergic Techno.

Melomana Records proudly presents its 49th release, featuring a bold and electrifying EP by the Estonian-Italian duo Parasex, a project steadily carving its name into the underground with raw, provocative energy and a fearless sonic identity.Formed by Angelica and Riccardo Alescio. Parasex is the result of two distinct yet complementary worlds. Angè (Angelica), a longtime DJ and co- founder of the renowned Dark Disko party series in Tallinn, brings her rocker roots and love for dirty synths, sensual vocals, acid tones, and erotic grooves. Riccardo, a Sicilian visual artist and producer, shares a passion for rock, electronic music, and underground aesthetics. The duo met in 2022 and soon after founded Parasex blending their musical backgrounds and creative chemistry into a unique, high-voltage act both on stage and in the studio.

This new EP on Melomana is a deep dive into their signature world: four tracks drenched in raw electro essence, pulsing with industrial textures, acid basslines, and provocative atmospheres designed for late-night dance floors.Adding extra firepower, the release features two standout remixes: Gameboyz delivers a gritty rework packed with dirty breaks and rave-ready energy, channeling a wild '90s spirit with a punk edge. Velvet Velour transforms another track into a cinematic synthwave journey, rich in dreamy pads and futuristic melancholy.

With this release, Parasex and Melomana invite listeners into a world where desire, darkness, and rhythm collide unapologetically and with full force.
