Jap Jap's love for the Boards of Canada track "Happy Cycling" goes deep. It evokes feelings of euphoria and brings back memories of the discovery of the mysteriously enchanting chillout ambient electronica genre. It's a fascinating, timeless masterpiece that has always inspired him. 

Remixing the track was partly a process of understanding it's seemingly simplicity through rather complex and unique melodic structures, but he also wanted to share his view on this unique work by accentuating it's funky rhytmic groove and deliriously beautiful atmospheric flourishes that highlight the breathtaking atmosphere, without creating something completely different. 

At the risk of loosing it's supernatural otherworldly magic Jap Jap reconstructed the track's basics from scratch, carefully capturing the original intent, and then built on it, giving "Happy Cycling" his subtle perspective.
