Star Eater

Twins Wyatt and Fletcher Shears formed the Southern California punk duo called The Garden in 2011 (when they were 17). They have even invented a name for what they do, "vada vada."  The Shears brothers always seem to be making music. Even when they take a break from The Garden, each twin has his own side project, Wyatt's is called Enjoy and Fletcher's is named Puzzle.

I hung out with the brothers one cold night outside the  Cobalt while The Prettys did a soundcheck inside. 

What is "vada vada"? Do the Shears have a secret twin language? How is The Garden's songwriting evolving over time? How did their Dad's involvement in the SoCal punk scene influence the brothers? Why is it important for each brother to have his own side project? Will The Garden project ever add a third member? Which sport do the brothers still enjoy when they have the time?
