Water Coloured

A remix of an old track i made back in 2014. The track was an instrumental. It has a mix of my old guitar parts and news ones. 
I added words and a different arrangement. The flavor is very dark, the words where written after a major disappointment in my life. Music is always a means for me to express myself when things aren't quite what they should be. 
The original is still up far away on my Soundcloud page under the name 'Orange' look it up!

Under The Orange Sky

Our first song on the new album. 3 songs put into one. It's the start of the concept. The big question, to decipher the meaning of life.
The album starts where "mammals" ends.
Mammals was, for me, an album that criticises the society nowadays. The hate against other cultures. The fucked up isms we have to deal with (racism, facism) the greed. The cold world where groups only want to fill their pockets.
On decipher the journey begins with the death of someone who has to deal with the questions? Why can't we accept that life is a precious gift? Why do we fight each other instead of supporting us? I hope everyone gets his own meaning of "decipher" and enjoys the ride.

Okay, after being stuck in bed for the last couple of months, feeling depressed, and very frustrated, with the spring coming, I've decided to produce something that spring brings into our lives, something cheerful. I could type a small book about this track. Rough start... and nagging doubts every step of the way.  This track commemorates Tainted Icarus being 4 years old.  Huzzah I say!

A couple of years ago I dedicated this song to Sandra. After listening she said: "Mmm, yes, nice, but I prefer another piece, that one that you let me listen a few months ago".
Damn sincerity! :)))

Lately i decided to record it again with a different arrangement, this is the new one.
But this time I'm not sure i'll let her listen again :)))

I started writing my own music in the late 90's. Mostly I write about everyday events. Ways to build a song vary but I usually find the melodies when I sit down with my guitar and after that  I add a little bit of everything.
It happens that I sometimes dream songs too and then I usually sneak up in the middle of the night and hum a little quiet when I record on the phone, I don't want to ruin anyone's sleep :)
I write, sing and produce all my songs on my own.
