We're joined on the Red Lion patio this episode by Neha Talreja, a comedy writer, stand up lover, and Bush apologist.

We discuss Neha's love for Korean BBQ, as well as her anger for Korean BBQ restaurants refusing service to solo-eaters. We also explore topics like why kids suck, why anyone cares about global warming, and of course why Bush is our favorite president. Plus, we hypothesize on the sexual conquests of truck drivers.

As usual, we get into the classic ITP segments like The Four Points, In The Pooches, and the Kit Kat Quick Chat. (Sadly, there's no Street Sweepin' this week.)

It's common knowledge that we have the best edited podcast out, but it also gets harder every episode to argue that we don't have the best content too.

Season 3, Episode 8: Neha Talreja

Live From The Red Lion Season 4 continues with our guest, AZSwaye.

AZSwaye is a rapper from South Central Los Angeles. He joined us on the Red Lion patio with an Uber XL full of friends, including rapper AZBenz and producer LD The Monster (just kidding, don't spell it that way. it's LD Tha Monsta). 

We discuss AZSwaye's music, Bitburger, pretzels, kuemmerling, Fortnight/PUBG, what it was like being Top Dawg's nephew and growing up around the TDE studio, and why AZSwaye wants to build his own name. We also get into the history of LA rap, from AZSwaye's dad hanging out around Death Row to AZSwaye growing up with the jerk music. There's a lot of other #freshmaterial in here as well.

Rest assured we also hit the classic LFTRL segments such as Street Sweepin', Shits Fired, and the Kit Kat Quick Chat. There are audio issues for about the last 10-15 minutes, but it's still audible so just listen to it. This is probably our best episode yet and you're going to be hearing a lot more about AZSwaye and the other artists that got on the mic so you might as well just listen to this now.

Season 4, Episode 5: AZSwaye

Bert Kreischer joined us on the Red Lion patio to drink Bitburger and Killepitsch and Kuemmerling and talk about himself a lot in yet another classic Season 4 episode of Live From The Red Lion.

We get into Bert's favorite podcasts, his forthcoming Netflix special, and his past nicknames, which include Flash, Wild Boy, Nature Boy, and The Machine. We also take a look at his phone search history and get his thoughts on "Jeselnik vs. Owen Benjamin" and running the LA marathon without training. We also talk about Bert's favorite subjects, like Joe Rogan, Tom Segura, Doug Stanhope, comedy, Instagram, drinking, podcasting, and more. We also discuss our Subway orders and talk about a bunch of other stuff that's more interesting to listen to than it would be to read about here. Rest assured we also hit the classic segments like The Four Points, Street Sweepin', In The Pooches, and the Kit Kat Quick Chat. 

He also gives a nice little life lesson about being a fan of things. If you're a fan of podcasts, you'll probably like this one. We're definitely the most well-edited podcast in Silver Lake but this podcast goes into the details of other podcasts that do things well and what makes podcasts great in general.

Season 4, Episode 7: Bert Kreischer

Season 4 concludes with another great episode from the Red Lion with our guest, Anna Fryxell.

Anna is a producer for the YouTube channel Mixed Makeup as well as a comedic genius behind classic sketch ideas like "Adult Babies." She also has worked in a plastic surgeon's office so we talk Botox, Tummy Tucks, and Brazilian Butt Lifts, as well as the psychological reasons behind all of them. Anna also goes in-depth on her PHD thesis about beauty around the world. And we go through Jake's Tinder for him and talk about boycotting Sqirl. Also we talk about ITP and how were gonna sell so much merch we're gonna be rich. And lots of other stuff.

We also hit the classic segments like In The Pooches, Co-Sign, The Four Points, and Shits Fired. No Kit Kat Quick Chat this time unfortunately.

Season 4, Episode 9: Anna Fryxell

The Bird (Jeff Starwalt) & The Bear (Jim Hagle) take 30 minutes out of their 8-hour drive from Pittsburgh to Champaign to recap their road trip to PNC Park to watch the Cubs lose twice to the Pirates.

They discuss all the bars and restaurants they visited along the way, the people they met, and the good times they had. They also describe the meaning of sports peace*, and rank their Top 5 Favorite Ball Parks in America. 

I (Will of Live from the Red Lion) asked my dad (Jim, The Bear) to record a podcast with Jeff (the Bird) on this trip. They've been talking about it for years, since before I ever started doing podcasts. They came back with this hilarious episode, proving that their years of bantering about baseball in the car has prepared them to be podcast professionals. I honestly want to retire because they're better than me.

If you're a fan of baseball, sports, food, beer, or listening to a couple of old geezers talk while cruisin' the open road, you'll enjoy this podcast.

SEASON 5 begins with our guest, Mike Upchurch.

Mike has written for just about every great sketch comedy show in television history, including Mr. Show, The Chris Rock Show, MadTV, and Storage Wars. In this podcast, he talks about his experiences at each of those shows. AND THEN WE BREATHALYZE OURSELVES. 

Mike also wrote a master's thesis at UNLV about the poetics of sketch comedy so we go deep on topics like "lateral cohesion" and "dropping the cow." He's known to be a great storyteller and he didn't disappoint while talking over Red Lion's finest: delicious chicken schnitzel, cabbage, Bitburger, and keummerling.
