After sampling him on my track Ekara Po, here is an edit of one of my favorite songs of african electronic music pioneer Francis Bebey. He is one of my heroes, a true inspiration, and his "Sanza Tristesse" is a song that can literally make me cry from melancholy and sadness. But it is at the same time a heartwarming tune calling for love and joyful memories of lost ones, a soothing song for our fragile human hearts. And it made me think, why not bring these ambivalent emotions on a dance floor, as dancing puts you in special receptive moods? I hope you will hear my love for this song, enjoy!

The intereference between the original and the new version fits the atmosphere and the versatility of my Amour De Vacances nights all that well. These all nighter sessions in my beloved bars of Budapest (Nemdebár and Telep) are about wild mood swings and radical genre twists in flawless or even shaky but always freely mixing flow. If you are okay with the reminiscence of 80/90’s productions, dreamy harmonies, ridiculous romantic or freaky themes in the mix of deep and dubby house, original new wave digs, cheesy italo licks, sick acid disko, obscure electronics and beyond here is a long one for your enjoyment. This is taken from a recording of a night at Telep in April this year.
