In such a short space of time, Montreal's Solid Stone has firmly established himself in the upper echelons of the progressive genre, with his easily identifiable grooves and dark tones. He embarks on a new adventure through Coldharbour by presenting his We Are One series, with Chapter 1 yielding three gorgeous pieces.

For two of the three pieces, Solid Stone reaches out to friends Michael Gin and Ghost Wars, to apply their interpretation on Xonic and More respectively. The former is an ideal mood setter for the evening, with luscious and vibrant ease; whilst More is such an infectious vocal treat; one that you will be singing along to after a first listen. And not to be outshone on his own right, Watchmen rounds off another fantastic palette of work.

We Are One - Chapter 1 demonstrates why Solid Stone is so highly regarded, and luckily for all of us, there is more to come. With support on all three tracks by Markus Schulz among others, this is an essential if you lean towards those dark progressive vibes.

Trance powerhouse Adam Sobiech releases his brand new track ”Always” through Intonenation Records, featuring the unmistakable vocal styling of mysterious dance vocalist Taxigirl.

Leading off with an insistent groove “Always” picks up quickly with a subtle vocal riff building over layers of muted plucks and emerging textures before plunging into a deep atmospheric breakdown. Vocal layers rise up as the breakdown grows and muted synths bring new melodies towards an inevitable build. When the drop hits, the full weight of the vocal melody combines with layers of high energy synth and drums. The floor drops away and room lifts with excitement and a unique intensity. Moments like this don’t happen to often and as the track reaches the plateau of the outro it’s clear that we just went somewhere that we don’t often get to go to.

Polish trance dynamo Adam Sobiech continues a stream of great releases with his brand new track “Let Go” which touches down through Intonenation Records. 

“Let Go” opens with a haunting voice and a stomping beat, this retro-future classic has as much intensity and as it has playfulness as the builds keep coming. A deep percussive plateau is forged around distinctive synth hooks and chiming rides before the solace of the breakdown hits. Layering whimsical vocal textures on deep ’80s themed synths Sobiech loops and develops them into a huge build that could only give way to a drop of greater proportions. Constantly one-upping himself with more and more layers of inspired synths the drop builds into an electro utopia before returning to the eerie vocal textures that started the whole journey. 

“Let Go” is laden with all the hallmarks that make Adam Sobiech’s productions so individual. The pounding beat and bass, the signature melody and lead lines, and the tight arrangement that leaves nothing to chance. One thing is for sure when this drops the only thing you need to do is hit the dance floor and “Let Go”.
