British duo My Friend return to Anjunadeep with their three-track EP ‘Came Here For Love’. Following on from a strong first half of 2022, with releases on Toolroom, Armada Electronic Elements, W&O Street Tracks and Fly Boy Records, the duo have garnered support from Sarah Story, Pete Tong and Danny Howard at BBC Radio 1, and Ben Malone on Kiss FM.

A stand-out track from the Anjunabeats Volume 16 compilation released in July, ‘Came Here For Love’ opens the EP with an echoing vocal sample and a punchy baseline. Collaborating with London-based electronic duo The Pressure, My Friend pairs The Pressure’s warm vocals with a pulsating synth in ‘Future Life’ whilst EP closer ‘Great White Buffalo’ leads with bright chords. My Friend’s latest showcases why they’ve garnered support from Boys Noize, John Digweed and Lane 8 to name a few.

‘Remedy’ is melodic house at its finest; complete with ethereal, string-laden breakdowns and a hard-hitting bassline, as well as Running Touch’s wholly captivating vocals. This dance floor filler is no exception to the quality of output from LA-based producer Durante that has seen him exchange remixes with the likes of Cassian, Amtrac and RÜFÜS DU SOL, and receive support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Joris Voorn and BBC Radio 1's Jeremiah Asiamah and Pete Tong.
