‘Routines’ is an interpretation of growth.

The essence of growth starts from repetition - and repetition requires discipline. In this ever evolving scenario, one has to build structure in their daily lives and commit to the rules that you have set. With these matters at play, only then the mind will adapt and aﬃrm to change. And through repetition, you can discover the inﬁnite possibilities for the  future.

In this 5-track EP, Intriguant reﬂects on his daily routines that allow his mind to stay creative and explore the multiple outcomes in his work and life. It revolves around melodic  sequences and bass driven rhythms, with inﬂuences from broken beats, breaks and  house showcasing a sense of willingness to expand on diﬀerent sounds and ideas.

'Routines' takes on an endearing outlook for what’s to come. It is a depiction of the mind in motion, constantly thinking and pondering, yet remaining unfazed by uncertainty.

‘Upkeep’ will be released as a single on 31st March 2023. 
Routines EP will be out on all streaming platforms on 14th April 2023.

Ohhh my days have I been excited to share this one with you all! I started this track earlier in the year, and it quite quickly became part of my inspiration to start up this new self-release platform. 

Breaka recordings is a space I'm going to use to explore new dimensions to my sound. I will be using it to release new material I’ve been creating, and some collaborations between myself and like-minded artists. 

For this first one 'Breaka001' I've collected together four tracks from the last year of my music creation. The four tracks span a wide range on influences from my classic Breaka sound, to a more jazzy, broken tip. 

Also Included are collabs with my friends Lydia Kotsirea and Bradley Hutchings (AKA Guava) both of whom are immensely talented and I'm honoured to have them in the project.

Absence is an invitation – a prerequisite for possibility and blastoff. “Your Love” fills up sonic space by affirming two things: That the call of the dance floor is undeniable and that house is a hyper-ripe canvas for articulating the many nuances of longing. Over an immaculate 4/4 drum pattern, gothic vocal samples percolate the mix, like a celestial chorus emptying the contents of its heart. But this is no ethereal remove: Textures clash with rhythms, spirit intermingles with blood, abstraction sublimates into the visceral, all under the almighty mandate of movement. Every pause is but an allowance for reflection before the inevitable hush of the ending and the echoes it brings. Not a single word is sung here – but it’s still an anthem.

When it comes to the relationship between electronic music and its interaction with Singapore, we always find the theme of longing connectivity through its panorama even within the many concrete walls and high-rises we have grown accustomed to living in. With Spirits, Intriguant takes the role of an observer and explores the landscapes of many different cultures and sounds that have taken habitat past and present. 

Driven by hauntingly futuristic break-beats of the 90s, shaped 808s, imagined club sounds of dancing folks, bass-heavy textures reminiscent of Burial, Spirits is both for the late-night vanguards and personal home listening rooms. Intriguant's third album encompasses his experiences as an artist most vividly, highlighting his ability to use the flexibility of electronic music to link floating ideas to the physical world. 

The Analog Vault is honoured to be working with Intriguant for our third release as TAV Records.
