This is a record that was put together from an old instrumental that Theo made which Marques recorded lyrics for in one take, late one night after a spark of inspiration. The song tells a singular story of disappointment, set to the backdrop of live improv on an analog Juno-60 and some experimentation with piano samples. The short film accompanying it takes headlines, adverts, obituaries, photos and schematics from the Arizona news archives to display a particular theology - man plans, God laughs (or as you might have it, man proposes and God disposes. It's about control, or a lack thereof) - that gets built up, quite simply, from a few stories.
