This summer I played at the New New Nordic Burn in the magical forest of Finnskogen. It was such an epic experience to see the beautiful crowd express themselves in the hours where night became day. A memory I will keep in my heart forever. I hope you will enjoy this edited and shortened version of my set.

BURN

Our love story with Greg Hunter's magic goes back to our carefree teens. We are dreamers, who dream the dreams that dreamers dream, and his classics as Dubsahara, Dub Trees and Subsurfing have soundtracked countless journeys within. Many summers ago we booked him to Midnight Sun Festival and Andra Vaerlden Gathering, and befriended a most humble man who prefers to work quietly on his own, with an arm lengths distance away from the limelight. We have a deep respect not only for his musical genius, whose four decades of professional musicianship have put a deep, pioneering imprint into the world of Dub, Ambient and Gnostic Techno; but also for our generous and supportive friend Greg that we sincerely hope to meet again when the stars align. Having Greg Hunter onboard on this Navigare adventure has always been our dream, and we hope that this is only the beginning of our collaboration.

For this months podcast, the first of 2022, he has sequenced a beautiful journey of timeless ambience. We are so proud to finally present Greg Hunter to our ever growing Navigare family. Enjoy!

We often spend most of our days disconnected with the present. There are only a few instants of true connection where we live in the moment. It needs a particular state of mind that our usual rhythm doesn’t really allows. 

However, art helps us reach this state of consciousness to be in touch with ourselves, and our surrounding.  
Mindfullness… That moment of awareness that feels so surreal and out of time, when it is the essence of existence…  

Adelia’s sonic journey is an invitation to breath, let go, and observe the subtleties of the present. A reminder to perceive the value of each moment, the beauty of each gestures, the comfort that provides an instant with ourselves.

Starting 2022 with a great artist, Aes Dana, one of the most aknowledged artist of the ambient scene and co-owner of @ultimae records

Vincent Villuis aka AES DANA is composer, sound designer, DJ and founder of @ultimae records label. An electronic activist for over 25 years, also a founding member of the Asura band.

Bass player and singer in several coldwave and industrial bands as a teenager, Vincent then moved on to composing with machines and specialised in audio sampling and layering of acoustic sounds digitally transmuted. Its music ensures a coherent fusion between Deep Ambient, Downtempo and IDM with a touch of Electronica Neo-Classical, Indus & Liquid Drum'n'Bass.

As AES Dana he has produced 7 albums, a collection of audio samples and about 50 tracks for various compilations, while collaborating with the Swedish artist Magnus Birgersson (aka Solar Fields) under the moniker H.U.V.A. NETWORK on 3 albums and with the Greek artist MIKTEK on 3 EP releases gathered later in the concept album « Far & Off ». They also worked together on the “Fragments 01 & 02” sample libraries. His solo-designed music library «Aethers» (co-published with Loopmasters) which was voted « best Cinematic Ambient sound bank » in 2015.

He composed scores and licensed existing works for short and feature films, documentaries and BBC tv programs such as « Atrophy Bank » by Sam Asaert, « The Passport » by Amund Lie, « Mandorla » by Roberto Miller or « Breath of Life » by Susan Kucera which opened new perspectives on composition and sound design and collaborations with various advertising agencies.

He is also the curator of the Fahrenheit Project compilations. As head of the Ultimae Studios, he earned a solid reputation for his Audio Mastering works & Sound Design.
He also is working on several projects in parallel: remixes, scorings & special projects.
His second collaborative album with Miktek is in progress and will be released in 2022.
A collaborative album with the Danish artist Lauge is also in progress.

As summer is fading slowly away and the colors of the leafs shows us the premises of the rainy season, the time is perfect to open the Instrospectiva project again. 
For this back episode, Iwamaki elaborate a deep and dronish journey for our greatest good.

Autumn has arrived in the Northern hemisphere and the long days and nights of summer has faded away. As we enter this season where dancing barefoot in nature once again seems further away we thought we could bring some warm memories from the dancefloors back to the podcast. So for the 22th chapter we've been blessed to have our Oslo based friend Capodanna's amazing set from this year's edition of Modem Festival. Some of us were fortunate enough to be there for the experience, so we suggest you prepare yourself for a musical journey into Annas audioverse and take those shoes off! 

“It was such a big honour to open The Swamp Wednesday morning. A place I have so much love and respect for. To set the vibe and create a journey on this magical stage was beyond my dreams. Diving deep into raw softness & intensity, light & darkness, serious & playful rhythms. A diverse and psychedelic ride to get the dancefloor going. Seeing it grow was absolutely blissful, and the magic we created together in the realm of hypnosis! 

I want to thank all the artists for their incredible music.
