Lyon-based artist, Sanjib always guides listeners into an authentic and richly textured world between ambient and dub-techno. Eager to share electronic music focused on emotions, he creates a universe dedicated to travel and introspection with his mixes. After several EP’s released on Oslated and Lett Records, Sanjib produced two albums "Lost Continent" and "Lost Planet" released on Huinali and Annulled during the pandemic period. These opus were an opportunity to explore new textures with a story guideline.

Based in Potsdam, Germany, Alex is a music enthusiast and cassette collector with Estonian roots. Intrigued by tropical mysterious sounds, electronic soundscapes, and world music, Echo & Rauschen explores the realm of organic sounds in combination with deep ambient electronic vibes. Fungal networks stretch deep underground, building connections throughout the forest and maintaining a central flow of life. Such is the relationship our next guest, Jamie McCue, has with the music scene. He is a central connector, working behind the scenes to bring artists together and showcase the very best of ambient and dub techno with his Silent Season imprint. His sound is synonymous with the lightest snow falling at the first sign of winter. It is weightless, radiant, but simultaneously as powerful as the heaviest rain. This week's mix was prepared for us by Jamie in his home on Vancouver Island, and we are thrilled to be able to broadcast this lush, serene landscape out to you. Enjoy.

Campfire Stories 98 (Consequence) by Aaron J

It is undeniable that we are living in uncertain times. For those of us failing to fit the patriarchal neoliberalist mould, we have lost hope in the future. We can see capitalism is not working but we cannot yet envisage an alternative. In a world where security is no longer feasible, the only constant we can rely on is change. Regardless of one’s point of reference, we can understand that every aspect of life, physical and mental is in flux and perhaps this transience is the only thing we can depend on.

This month we have invited @saphileaum to ruminate on these ideas and create an hour of relief from these anxieties. A temporary suspension of reality, where the listener can speculate on alternate modes of existence that reject hetero-patriarchal systems of oppression.

Saphileaum is one of the names of Georgian multi-media artist,
Andro Gogibedashvili. The moniker Saphileaum was born in 2015, highly inspired by esoteric, mystic, new age, cosmic and visionary art and teachings, which hold a huge role and are still a source of constant inspiration. Saphileaum’s sound is often described as cosmic,
spherical, light, visionary, innovative, tribal and hypnotic. 

Alongside producing music, Andro also runs the Theosophy label which is focused on spreading the essence of Theosophycal teachings and meditative ambient music in Tbilisi. He also runs his own small imprint based in Tbilisi, which he feels to be more than just a record label, it is a multi-media platform called Expeditions Above, focused on inspecting the inner and outer unexplored dimensions and realms.
