 After a rain-stopping performance at Glastonbury last week, Little Dragon have announced a surprise London show at Corsica Studios as part of Boiler Room TV. The gig will be streamed live online between 7pm-8pm on Tuesday 18 July at http://www.boilerroom.tv/live

Having already been all over the airwaves with ‘Wildfire’ by SBTRKT on which they feature, they are is set to continue their meteoric rise to success with the release of ‘Ritual Union’ which has already bagged plays from Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Lauren Laverne, who said they are “the coolest band in the world right now”. DJ Shadow seems to agree, having asked them to collaborate on a track for his long-awaited new album. The 12” and digital download will come with an acapella version of ‘Ritual Union’ and two remixes. One is a super smooth offering from on-the-rise German producer Tensnake and the other comes from house producer Maya Jane Cole, currently being streamed on iTunes here:

Since 2009’s critically acclaimed Machine Dreams they have not sat still, touring the globe and making some high profile friends along the way. Damon Albarn invited them to collaborate on two tracks for last year’s Gorillaz record Plastic Beach, which became album highlights for the critics with Pitchfork describing the songs ‘Empire Ants’ and ‘To Binge’ as “two of the most arresting things here; they’re airy, elusive and amazingly beautiful”. Similarly, David Sitek was so taken with singer Yukimi Nagano’s voice after touring with them in 2009, he asked her to lend some vocals to ‘If You Return’ from his solo project Maximum Balloon. And now Big Boi will be producing one of Little Dragon’s songs for his new album, after a certain Andre 3000 tipped him off. As if that wasn’t enough, they appear on Rafael Saadiq’s new album adding vocals to the sublime summer track ‘Just Don’t’.

Ritual Union the single will be release 25th July, with the remix EP to follow on the 15th August.

Berlin producer Robot Koch is back for his third full length release, “The Other Side”.

Although Robot Koch has an international reputation as being "One of Europe`s finest producers of the beat generation" (Low End Theory), he is much more than just a beatmaker… “(Post)-dubstep infused Electronic Hip Hop“ is far too constrained a label to understand what this producer is all about. Instead of following the sound of his previous albums “Death Star Droid” ("Essential listening" - Bobby Friction BBC) and “Songs For Trees and Cyborgs“ ("Music for a modern age that has rarely sounded so good” - Boomkat), Koch takes the genre defying ingredients from these previous records to another level. There still are some of those “Galactic ten ton beats and space age melodies“ (Dazed and Confused) that made the previous albums staple drops in the playlists of Mary Anne Hobbs, Starkey, Daedelus and Gaslamp Killer to name a few, but there is a new dimension to Koch`s production and songwriting that didn’t show on his previous records.

The cinematic vibe of tracks like “Nitesky”, the quirky and moody feel of “Bugs” and the electricity of “Tapedeck” show how Koch more than ever manages to create intimate and timeless pieces of music that are soulful, deep, mysterious and that will appeal to fans of cutting edge Electronica and modern pop music alike. This is the most personal record of Robot Koch to date. Instead of going for big name features Koch teamed up with lesser know artists like Kansas based vocal talent John LaMonica, long time friend and theatre composer Nielson and mexican singer/songwriter Graciela Maria to find the right voices for his compositions. John LaMonica infuses his whimsical and heartfelt melodies that breathe an air of darkness and nostalgia with Koch`s fresh and forward thinking instrumentals to create something that fans of Radiohead, The XX and Jamie Lidell should not sleep on.

”I`m glad John contacted me, we were thinking of collaborating on one song for my album but it ended up being five songs, they were all fantastic and helped me find the right direction for ‘The Other Side’.”

After the release of the John Robinson collaboration album (“Robot Robinson” – Project Mooncircle) earlier this year, it seems surprising how extensive Robert’s output is, but don’t be mistaken, this album is a longer term project than just releasing the songs Koch made in the last year. Some of the songs found on “The Other Side” were made seven years ago.

”I didn’t know what to do with songs like ‘Bugs’ back then. Now it felt like the time has come to release them, they just made sense with of the most recent stuff I’ve been making and it all fell into place. But it was not an easy album for me to make. The previous albums just came together rather quick but this one was a real mission, something I’ve been trying to do for years and I could never really get it together until now.”

Legendary John Peel (BBC) knew in 2003 already when he said about Koch`s productions "Wonderful and strange, pop music from the future“.

Craig David - Fill Me In (Mendoza VIP Bootleg) - Free DL!

Early in 2012, the lads from Flight Facilities told me about a great concept for their Triple J Mix Up residency that was happening later in the year, and had a few tracks that they wanted edited. 
The concept for the mixes being a history lesson, not only musically but including global events that occurred at the time the music was released. 

They asked me if I wanted to work on one for them, and I couldn't go past choosing Lou Reed's 'Walk On The Wild Side'.

The mixes were aired on Triple J (Australia) throughout October 2012 and since no one has ever done anything like this before, 
and due to the incredible track lists each mix has, they've proven to be extremely popular. 

This edit was included in the first installment, which also contains edits by Tim Fuchs, Drop Out Orchestra, The Revenge, Skinny Joey, 
In Flagranti, Villa and of course, Flight Facilities.
