Born in Paris on the 14th of January 1996, Întuneric aka Morning Glory got acquainted with underground Electronic Music at the age of 14, listening to the Minimal of James Holden and tripping on Goa Trance. A year after, he became a party animal, frequenting the Rex Club and bearing witness to the inception of Concrete. In January 2014, Carl bought his first 12"s in Berlin. Since then, he’s been a vinyl junkie, always eager to latch some more wax. 
For SoundRoom Bucharest, he offers a vinyl only podcast full of Micro-house / Minimal : the first hour is dedicated to dark atmospheres, whereas sun shines in the second part of the set. 
Currently based in Berlin, he organises parties in Paris with his label Phosphore Music.

Pluto (minor-planet designation: 134340 Pluto) is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt, a ring of bodies beyond Neptune. It was the first Kuiper belt object to be discovered.

Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930 and was originally considered to be the ninth planet from the Sun. J’aimerais tant pouvoir veiller sur tes paupières closes,
Moi qui à tes côtés ne me suis jamais tout à fait endormi.
J’aimerais tant pouvoir caresser ta peau beige-rose,
Moi qui à tes côtés ai pleinement atteint le paradis.
Dépourvu de toi point n’est besoin de chercher de ma tristesse
La cause.
Dépourvu de toi je subis la sévérité d’une affliction infinie.
Cependant que le souvenir d’instants ensemble me remplissent 
D’allégresse.
Et malgré cette insoutenable pause,

Nora's Nightmare

No reason to worry, Nora.

At the horizon I see, your aura.
She tries to flea, the Horrora.

No fair fare-well : 
Well, it's Nora's Nightmare.
Under the Shell : one lucid snare, upon this luscious Bell.

Entering through the bright doors of this Apotheke,
as if something worst could happen...
Learning through the slight chores of this haven,
as if something worst could happen...

One guy leaning towards you, with a fierce chainsaw.
He could be a character stemming from the mind of Edgar Allan Poe.
And the guardian of the Hoe, also known as Momo ; 
How come has he vanished?
Shall we start again from where it all started.

Berlin, Winter.
Crazy cold weather.
As You were wandering over all along the snowy capital —this licentious city—, 
Delighted with the fulfilment of one long day of work,
You headed towards home.
There, some friends and Glühwein were waiting for you.

As a new evening has begun,
And it is now thirty years that her soul found this new outstanding body,
The cycle might be drawn to an End.
Raul, amongst the fellow nominees,
Was there alongside the aforementioned Guardian.
Nevertheless, a Stranger was there as well.
Nora was then wondering : why the Hell?

The Stranger testified to awkward misbehaviours.
In all matters of a weird storytale,
This mister was intrusive at Nora's.
No matter what, it was a mystery...

He was in effect a serial killer.
After a random number of dirty murders,
He asked Momo, or the Guardian of the Hoe
—or whatsoever :
*Passing to the latter his chainsaw*
"Would You dare cut my hair?"
At this precise moment, Nora was shuddering.
She was deeply thinking :
"Come on, Momo, severe his head!"
So that the blood's flood lies upon my bed...

The Pluie/Noir Podcast is a monthly series of audio-visual podcasts featuring artists that have been actively working with Pluie/Noir since the start, as well as close friends and some guest artists we admire.

Each episode will feature a one hour audio collage/mix by one of our producers/djs or a guest, and a poster triptych with the visual interpretation of the podcast by a graphic artist.

Interview:

— Hi Carl. How are you?
I’m super fine! Genuinely more than glad to be part of the Pluie/Noir project, this represents a milestone in my musical journey and I'll be endlessly thankful for this opportunity you gave me.

— When did your musical project start and where would you like to see it going?
I’ve bought my two first vinyl (Harthouse and Fumiya Tanaka on Torema) during a trip for my 18th birthday in Berlin, January 2014. I would say that this marks the beginning of an adventure: the infinite Quest for Wax, and the honing of my mixing skills. Two years before that, I've begun to mix on digital. 

My first collective was called Phosphor Music, with friends we organized warehouse illegal parties in squats, as well as regular parties in a few clubs in Paris. At that Time I was playing a lot of Acid and Techno and started To enjoy the Pace and Vibe of Micro House. Towards the end of 2017, I've done an audio collage of words and sounds for Arbitrary's Assemblage series — a Danish label based in Copenhagen, specialized in electro-acoustic and Experimental music. It was really interesting, I had a hand on each track panning, could put up to 4 tracks at the same Time and the arrangement was up to my desires. I’d like to have more oportunities to perform, both for Experimental and dance-oriented sets. 

— Your podcast is strong on acousmatic sound and musique concrete. How did you record this session and how does the early electronic music inspire you nowadays?
I've recorded It at House Monkey Records during my internship, on vinyl only. It was three days before the Intrinsic festival, early August 2017.  I adore the peculiar sound of musique concrète. I've had the chance To see Pierre Henry live upon an acousmonium (orchestra of speakers, designed at first by Francois Bayle towards the end of the 1970s) on the 13th of November 2015 - a sad evening of the Paris Bataclan attack-, at la gaité Lyrique before his récent death. Since then, I attend several events of acousmatic music every month, I love It!

— Do you plan on making music yourself?
I already do! it's still very amateurish and I do not own hardware apart from a Roland R-8 left In Berlin, a Korg Volca bass and a Casio synth as a mere MIDI keyboard. However, I Have produced a few tracks, some are Ambient / Experimental, others are Minimal or Electro/Broken beat, one Is jazzy. I try to experiment with Ableton. None is mastered, nor released, but I slowly begin to be satisfied by my work! I might take Acousmatic music production classes next year at Conservatoire de Nanterre!

— Plans for the near/far future?
I genuinely would love to release some of my tracks, hopefully, It will happen. Meanwhile, I will work a lot on my production skills. I'm also currently working on a second Experimental audio collage on Ableton, for a label based in Berlin which I worship: I'll keep it secret for the moment. Also, I’m participating in a springboard contest to mix at Château Perché festival on their Experimental stage: l’Orée de la Clairière.
