Harley Streten aka Flume is the electronic dreamboat with a big following and even bigger skillset. The epic Deluxe Edition of the Aussie producer's self-titled debut is due to drop on 12th November, with a physical version following on 9th December via Transgressive Records.

In September on Triple J Mix Up Brothers and ChunKy showcased a sound that they've been working on for some time now.

Aboriginal Techno is a genre that the fellas are crafting to express their culture, heritage and identity through electronic music, in their DJ sets and original productions.

This thematic DJ mix is a cultural journey that combines Aboriginal instruments, tribal rhythms, vocal chants, and sounds that are heard out on country - with modern day techno and electronic music

Brothers & ChunKy - Triple J Mix Up - Aboriginal Techno DJ Set

This is Brothers & ChunKy's DJ set from the 2019 Rainbow Serpent Festival, recorded live on the Sunset Stage.

It's a culturally-inspired auditory journey, which blends progressive and percussive electronica that features Aboriginal instruments such as yidaki (didgeridoo), clap sticks, vocal chants, tribal rhythms, storytelling, and nature sounds that are heard when out on country. They call this ‘Aboriginal Techno’.  

Their aim is to tell a story through our track selection, and take listeners on an exploration of culture that challenges preconceptions, and expands the definition of what Aboriginal culture is.
