In this mix Ricardo has built a hypnotic meditation with long transitions and textured layers, inviting listeners to close their eyes and quiet the incessant movement of news and time, entering a slower, timeless flow of sound.

Eighteen months on from his "Left Hand Drive" debut on Bricolage, Wilks returns with his much anticipated, sophomore EP, "A Soul To Borrow".

Any fans of the "Left Hand Drive" EP will be elated to know that the emotive edges and cinematic backdrops are still at the forefront of the Wilks sound but there's a clear evolution at the core of his productions. It's a sound that is hard to pin down. Incorporating elements of ambient, electronica, garage and drum n bass into one evocative whole. Clean production techniques, a broader palette and more experience has elevated Wilks into a new realm of sound. Electronic music with finesse and grit.

There's a more lacquered nuance in the shades of the melodies on show and the basslines run that little bit deeper. Helping to add further to the stirring depth of all six tracks. The percussion feels tight but luxurious as it meticulously opens and expands around the soundscapes. There's a degree of melancholy throughout but the reflection of the shuffling rhythms provides us with a constant sense of moving forward and upwards.

Intricate, delicate, serene and atmospheric. You can hear and feel that this is a project that has had everything poured into it. Heart and soul.

Ethnomusicology plays a central role in the work of Aukio Sound, Helsinki-based electronic artist and DJ, and this @futuraresistenza release is no different. Drawn from recordings made during his time in Benin, the 4-track EP contains two tracks with their own alternate dub versions to compliment.

Both works feature vocal feature from singer John Follass, the two meeting in Grand-Popo and recording 6 tracks in collaboration. With this material in hand, Aukio Sound returned to Helsinki to produce and master the work into the driving dub-techno heard on the EP.

With seven strong releases since the start of 2024, they've already well and truly shaped their sound and forged a prominent position in Asia and on dancefloors across the globe. Their diverse, yet distinct, style spans smoked-out, dub-infused house and techno, and playful breaks, featuring works from artists like Bongoman, emanon, Sigmoid FM, Kross Section, and Dexter Colt.

Dexter Colt is a dedicated selector, whose passion for digging up and platforming new sounds is in plain sight with his work on Singapore’s Darker than Wax and Super Enjoy. He's on a mission to discover music daily and bring emerging artists to the forefront - and it's time we do the same for him. He's no stranger to NYC, the home of Delayed, where he regularly joins Marco Weibel’s monthly Darker Than Wax show on the city’s The Lot Radio, hosting guests whose styles and energies span all corners of the music scene.

Today we’re highlighting a new track of his ‘The Sleeper Must Awaken’, off the Super Enjoy co-founder’s debut solo EP, ‘Mesmeric’. And mesmeric is a perfect word for the track. It’s dancefloor-focused with a hypnotic pull, an ambient touch, and deep, dusty, levitating basslines. Every track on the EP oozes personality. This is a refreshing new discovery, and definitely one to keep a close eye on for home listening or to get people moving.

‘Mesmeric’ is released digitally on October 24th.

Dj Kush Boogie; an enigmatic and mysterious entity in which all we know of their existence is the alias comprises of two talented producers, supposedly from the southern hemisphere. The mystery surrounding the release bears no real surprise - this being their third in the series of supposedly unmarked offerings seemingly via London stalwart, Lobster.

Regarding the important thing here; the music, the series and this release alone is truly outstanding and standalone in it's approach. Those quick to judge may be inclined to pop the NZ duo in the 'lofi' box - however, it's so much more than that. Gristly saturation and glitched percussion shrouds the release as a whole, yet the club and floor remain at the core of each tracks aura. 'Dancers Cut' is no exception, anchored by sanguine keys, a bullish bass line and swathing vocal sweeps - all shelled by hallmark Kush twitched percussion and topped with a flute motif, catchier than the plague.
