Across all media, she strives to remain true to her own intuitive and free way of creating and to express something deeply personal yet universal. "the second time will be different" explores the feeling of rhythms falling out of sync — the asynchronicity of being with someone, breaking up, meeting again, but realizing it will never be like the first time
with hypnotizing textures.

Madrid's F-on is a much beloved figure within the Spanish scene, known for his elegant all-vinyl sets and curation behind the brilliant Alpenglühen label among so much more. We stayed in touch after his particularly beautiful set at 2017’s Paral·lel Festival, and I've been looking forward to one day sharing this episode of the series since. Alfonso’s mix is uncanny in its precision and demonstrates a prowess behind the decks that few can match, a soft palette built through veteran and timeless selection. Two hours in and out of focus like rippling dust through which the flow of time slows, a stasis in the stream. Thanks Alfonso!

The 16th update to the Virtual Utopia program has been meticulously written by Naarm-based and China-born; Venus Flytrap. (@venusflyyytrap) Here she masterfully weaves microscopic spaced-out intricacies of IDM, ambient and off-kilter techno into a 66-minute audio-program embedded with layers of ethereal spaciousness and coded abstract breaks. Through this lens, the peripherals are the main focus. A mesmerizing soundtrack to cellular activity or the flashing LED’s of infinitely sent data packets- a sonic illustration of the parallels between computer science and microbiology, all coated in the hopeful gloss of a cyber-utopian future.
