Save the date. ItaloJohnson are dropping 'ITJ09' on March 31. 

Their last three-track 12" arrived in April last year, giving us a proper tasty treat of jackin' house jams. And that's we dig the Berlin-based trio so much. Whether it's through their own releases or superb selection on deck, they always guarantee maximum funky action.

This guy Leibniz is back on Rat Life Records. You might remember him from the collaboration with Credit 00 on Basement Toolz Volume II. This time he goes for a full solo EP. The three course menu consists of a grimy appetiser called "Bat", if your stomach can handle this, we serve "Uzi" as a main course, a whole round of bullets, very hard to digest. "2 Simple" is for dessert, again quite heavy, full of fat and definitely not gluten-free.

Isolée’s Arrival

When three people run a label together it is exceptionally rare to find a positive unified opinion of a record upon first listen. When Isolée sent his "Mangroove" EP to Maeve, this was in fact what happened. But it is Isolée after all....

Mangroove came about last summer when The Drifter happened to catch Isolée's live set at a festival in Switzerland. Instantly blown away by the A side "Pisco" he was determined to find out what it was and if it was to be released. After chatting, Isolée suggested that he would send "Pisco" along with a couple of other "demos" to Maeve and a few days later the EP was happening.

Isolée has created some of the most important and beautiful records of our generation and has being a huge influence on what we do, thus we are incredibly excited and humbled to release his work.

This three track EP shows several different sides of the Frankfurt native, from the A-side dance floor catalyst that is "Pisco" to the deeper dubbier B-sides of "L5 Syndrome" and "Mangrove". This is the perfect record to mark our tenth release.

Breaking the @secretsundaze mini-comp in, @yappinrecords honcho DJ Slyngshot proves the range of his repertoire with the blazing 'Hygh-Tech' - an eleven-minute adrenaline rush of rattling drums, batucada-friendly rhythms and vox-driven NYC house tropes. Rugged and craggy, yet replete with multiple layers of finespun melodic textures and intense tempo swerves, the track constantly shifts and drifts as Slyngshot does what he does best, i.e. keeping the pressure gauge in the red till the batteries are dead for good. The Guestlist Network is an A3, full-colour, monthly music publication. Our main intent is the promotion of upcoming mainstream and underground music events within London. As well as this, our magazine features music interviews and lifestyle sections. Founded in 2009, The Guestlist Network is a monthly publication across a range of media platforms, from print to web to mobile (iPhone app) and outdoor.
