Blood flowers are wounded memories that refuse to let go

Blood Flowers is a heavy duty 4 tracker for the freaks. electro, dungeon techno, slinky acid and tribal excursion - properly damaged party starters for lowlight dreams and nightmares. Over the last 10 years, Mule Driver has been making special 808 day releases. This latest set is his most convincing effort to date, jumping from idea to idea but retaining a solid guideline of sci-fi weirdness and collapsing body movements.

on Unnamed War, maddening backward sounds are backed by a jumpy bass line and a heavy electro beat. Blood Flowers brings the hot middle eastern desert wind over tribal war rhythms, covering the poor drummers with burning sand. Those lost souls keep wandering aimlessly over a rumbling bassline in the Tunnels of track 3. Naqoura, the closing track, brings a hazardous grinding feedback, pounding bass drum and sword-like cymbals, topped with Fata-Morgana-synth-sounds that flicker a glimpse of hope.

Escaping Earth is a story that comes in 8 episodes and showcases Sam and Pascals mastered skills in detailed sound design and arrangement, while always keeping a focus on powerful dancefloor oriented electro grooves. Ranging from Detroit influenced bassline bouncers to slower acid variations, this album will let you dive deeply into CYRK’s beautiful musical language and range: a soulful journey from the light to the darkness and back. Above all, this album is at all times pure analog electronic funk and won’t let you go from beginning to end. Sometimes escaping helps. This musical story will make you travel the stars with ease.


The album is pressed DJ friendly on 2 x 12” vinyl and includes a download copy. A limited edition of 100 numbered copies comes in double colored (red/green) records and will be exclusively sold via CHILDHOOD’s bandcamp page as well as the CLONE store. Dylan Dylan gets things started with a slice of deep, UKG style beats, Marc Brauner & Jimbo Mack collaborate and make a continuation of the UKg vibe with a German flavour, followed by Foreach with a serious dose of uplifting breakbeat business. The second strike of Leipzig’s new electro offshoot sets Friedrich Ernst on the offensive. With these four new tracks he progressed his sound signature from a playful but reflected 8bit world soundtrack on SELF001 to a firm and gritty b-boy attitude. With SELF002 the do-it-yourself label team of DJ Unisex and Friedrich Ernst back up nothing less than their label mission: "We believe in the human mind as a self-learning system" – and it has the basement dance in the eye. 
Classic electro otakus will parté about the succinct elements that fits each other seamlessly on Class Beat while the groove remains alert and phantasmagoric.
Back 2 The Ol_ Skool invites two breakdance crews to battle out who owns the floor: the pale electro robot boys on the left and the hoover sound loving UK hardcore girls on the right.
Wildstyle is the living proof that a tight 808 groove still smashes especially hard when complimented with a proper breakbeat. Best played loud and from vinyl.
The last bit of the whole enchilada is almost tranquilizing until you realise how far your stone rolled already. Rhythm Control is a crowd pleaser with endless qualities.
Collaboration partner Dominik Widmann delivers the stunning artwork again for their ongoing conceptual series with his acrylic paintings. Included as A2 inlay print in every record.

About the Track:

Hot on the heels of his recent ‘Control Freak’ release the label, bossman Dave Seaman is back flexing his muscles on Selador once more, armed with another bountiful package that signals intent for 2018.

This time Dave shows off a more subtle side as he constructs ‘Virgo Ryzin’ around an incessant lead line that bristles with brooding understated energy. It’s beguiling and vibrant, considered and assured, the mark of a man who’s just celebrated his 30th anniversary in the dance music industry. 

Remix-wise, the Audiojack juggernaut rolls into town fresh from their recent chart topping adventures. The Ibiza based UK duo’s star has been in the ascendency for some time and it’s not hard to see why. Another outright winner. 

Next we are delighted to welcome Joeski back to the label after his last remix for Dave formed part of the ‘Justified Replacement Of Lulu’ release back in 2014. This time he employs an Afro flavour for a heritage inspired mix that takes us back to our roots. It began in Africa!

Sasha Braemer has been on the Selador hit list for what seems like an eternity, so we’re very happy to say we finally got our man. The ever reliable German adds his considerable pedigree to proceedings with a stylish interpretation that has it’s fair share of surprises. 

And completing the line up, it’s another Selador outing for Techno young guns, Loco & Jam. Following their recent success on Suara & Tronic, the Northern Irish duo deliver another slammer for all your all big room, bass heavy requirements. 

All bases covered. Another home run.
