Long time friend of the label, Neue Grafik, steps forth with his most fully realised offering to date. This record has been a long time coming, born out of a encounter in Paris back in 2016. This meeting of minds led to a blossoming friendship between Fred (Neue Grafik) and Bradley (RS INTL) which has taken them across 3 continents, countless dance-floors and finally crystallised onto this 12”.

The record itself takes cues from the broken-beat sound of London while paying homage to the Parisian house dance scene. Largely sample based, but also employing much more live instrumentation than ever before, Neue Grafik’s music is informed by movement and in turn offers so much for Dancers to respond to.

The EP begins with the lysergic ebbs and flows of ‘Innervision’, ( in which Wayne Snow graces the record with a sublime vocal performance) and moves effortlessly to the uplifting bruk of ‘Dance to Yemanja’ via the staccato of ‘ to Peckham Rye’( a homage to the labels origins) , before finishing on the hauntingly melancholic tones of ‘Aulnay’s Tears’ - an homage to the victim’s of police brutality in the Parisian Suburb in 2017.

When it comes to a certain strand of deep house, Tsuba is unstoppable at the moment. The label has just revealed they've secured an EP from the much-loved Galcher Lustwerk, but before that they're debuting Luvless with the Luv Machine EP. Fans of Mic Newman's music on Tsuba will warm to this with tracks like "Down With You Baby" sharing that same laid-back vibe heard in some of the Australian's earlier productions, while its soft vocals are similar to fellow Melbourne producer The Tortoise. "Be Mine" is driven by a strong sustained lead with sprinklings of disco drums and basslines with some classic filtering, while the title-track is a deep, yet light, euphoric house jam.

Born in New Zealand, but based in Peckham for the last few years (literally just around the corner from Henry Wu and Bradley Zero), these brothers have made a real mark on the scene here in London town and with their latest set of productions are set to take this message further afield. 
Having already released internationally on labels such as ClekClekBoom (Paris), Hot Haus (London) and Amadeus (Montreal), the duo’s approach to production has matured immeasurably in the last year, as is evident in the restrained potency and poetic subtlety on the 4 tracks across this accomplished EP, Midnight in Peckham. 
Taking it’s title from the locale the boys have come to know as home, the record channels a delicate late night energy - equally indebted to the hypnotic incantations of Ron Trent as it is to the hazy suburban atmospheres of Burial. These 4 classic cuts pay homage to deep house in it’s truest sense - at once sublime, melancholy and meditative . Chaos in the CBD have clearly taken their cue from the mid-west masters of the genre but have not been afraid to let their own influences and environ creep in, and in doing so have created something that is unmistakablely London and infact, timeless.

This year we have reached our long-term goal as a label which was to expand our releases into the wax department. We feel like we’ve done a good job bringing upcoming and original local talent to the surface so far and it is only fitting that our first vinyl release is done by the Icelandic duo https://soundcloud.com/davidhjalti. The duo has been busy with the production since their arrival from Manchester and have played a number of great live sets underlining their skills as producers. We feel that this release is the high standard we set ourselves before going vinyl and that this is just a small first step in a fruitful beginning for the producers David & Hjalti. Angst and concern laced the air, it was as if they had never met. All he had ever asked was that she remained faithful and true, not distant and blue. Now as they stood holding hands silently amidst the city street it was a distant sense of unease which hung between them, not love. Mistrust was a brutal endeavour and there was little left to reconcile the situation. As they parted ways he began to wonder if they might ever meet again the night was cold.

The swiss magazine Neue Grafik only released 17 issues throughout the 50s and 60s, and was known for using a design grid that allowed for the simultaneous placement of texts in three languages (German, English and French). It's in this aspect (alongside the eponymous title) that is shared between the long defunct publication and French producer and DJ Fred Bwelle---a musician whose diverse interests and talent yield similarly simultaneous placements of divergent but complimentary sounds ranging from across the globe. A self-proclaimed fan of strains ranging from Brazilian Jazz, to Animal Collective, Etta James to Flava D; it's no wonder why @neue-grafik already has EPs out with labels such as Beat X Changers, Wolf Music, and 22A.

Neue Grafik now preps his latest outing for the ever-promising Rhythm Section label based out of Peckham. Titled Innervisions, the record is already revealing itself to be one of Neue Grafik's most complete and assured efforts yet. With the release imminent (comes out this Friday!), we took some time to pull the parisian savant aside, and poke around his world to see what makes him tick, and gain a bit more insight into his synergistic process.

Innervision ft. Wayne Snow (Snippet)

Dan Kye is the mysteriously evoked moniker from multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocal sensation Jordan Rakei. The New Zealand-born artist - who now resides in London - presents his first long-player from Dan Kye, ‘Small Moments’, on Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section INTL. An ode to the dancefloor, the musical project was born out of Jordan’s lockdown experience, created from the comfort of his own home. 

Recorded with just a laptop, extra live instruments and guest musicians, ‘Small Moments’ seamlessly transcends across electronica, jazz and funk, with each genre being effortlessly fused with Jordan’s melancholy vocals. Allowing himself to push the boundaries, Jordan’s Dan Kye moniker draws on the energetic and uplifting elements of house and techno and perfectly mixes it with the sultry vocals and emotion that come with the live elements we know and love from Jordan Rakei. The record offers listeners a journey through more floor-heavy tracks such as ‘Mogeri’ and ‘Raro’ to more groove infused offerings such as ‘Rainbow Road’ (which is named after one of the maps in Mario Kart and inspired by the energy of Prince’s iconic live concert at The Aladdin in Las Vegas), whilst tracks, like ‘Sober’, take on a more lyrical and anthemic feel.
