Aquí tenemos un viaje por el imaginario musical de Espe que nos ha tocado la fibra y nos ha hecho mover el cuello a niveles altísimos, imposibles de calcular por ningun sistema métrico. Un viaje que, además, se nos ha hecho muy corto.

As a pair of foreigners (from the UK and Bosnia) living in Praha, Czechia, we as curators of YUKU wanted to give something back to the creative residents of this country by creating a series on our label to platform local artists. "místní fauna" means "local wildlife" in Czech, and these 10 tracks capture the aesthetics of 10 different artists — either Czech natives or creators residing in the country.

We plan to do this as an ongoing series to highlight artists from what's an often-neglected region by the press and media in general, so this is hopefully just the beginning <3

Very excited and honoured to welcome Joanna OJ to the Eudaemonia series delivering an incredible finale to 2023. 

Joanna OJ mutates and transmutes to create mixes telling absurd stories.
from glitchy ambient to intimate breaks to twisted vocals to frenetic bass to chaotic techno to energetic atmospheric dnb to sexy footwork to crazy drums to weird IDM to futuristic club music to endless unspeakable sounds, she crunches genres and pieces the whole together with syncretic taste; the result is a sensualizing surprise that explodes in the mouth, blows up the synapses and definitely make your articulations move.

Joanna OJ is a serious bloody digger, she plays to immerse you in deep dreams and experimental dramas, between aerial bubbles, elusive pulsations and seismic bursts.

She runs Caninal, a label to remain lively but fluid in body and nomadic in spirit. she curates a monthly show Canine à la furie on Retreat Radio (Malmö, Sweden) and bi-monthly Di Troglodita on Egregore (Toulouse, France).
