https://soundcloud.com/examine-archive announces its first physical release; the avant-garde double CD compilation VA-EXAMINE-ARCHIVE-INTERNATIONAL-SAMPLER, featuring 24 artists and a booklet with content from the artists themselves.

Ranging from abstract fast-paced rhythms and crumbling beats to biblical ambient tracks, the release is an experimental outcome of the label’s own research to the new age. In times of the current digital ephemerality, examine-archive tests and reproduces its own curatorial practice and research. The musical result of this showcases various developments and new interpretations in contemporary culture across the globe. 

The CD release comes with a small booklet, including visual content by the artists featured on the compilation. The recycled material is manually composed and is limited to 200 pieces.

The Leipzig-based https://soundcloud.com/vramdnb contributes to this research with the compelling drum&base track Hypnose on CD 01; an ominous and hypnotic production, which is perhaps a not-so-positive examination of the new age we are living in.

Dreams, an artist known for his label & event series Private Selection, is set to release his first record since 2020 on a new label he founded this year, called Dance Data. 

The B side, 'Vessel', marks one of his first releases at this velocity - each groove feels hypnotic and gives weight into the next moment. A blistering saw bassline tightly sits on top of live recordings of brazilian percussion – and the dark and tribal energy fits the A-side as a perfectly paired, yet still unanticipated counterpart. As his first offering since a 2020 hiatus, it is refreshing to see Dreams pulling from his roots with 'Paraxotica' while also coming in with a more organic approach as is heard on 'Vessel'.

"Beyond mere imagery, the EP sought to tale the story of the so-called Carmentran, a wicker man upon which villagers lay their burdens and suffering from the past year.
Its final burning is then interpreted as a collective purification, allowing people to rid themselves of their concerns.
From the still incandescent log, a souvenir can be reconstructed.
It is sometimes possible to feel spiritual entities through the sound spectrum.
There is no singer in the room, but a transmitter playing voices of many beings from different ages.
During this absence, heavily fuzzed guitars, dusty pads and flickering basslines enter into a quietly sharp communication.
Overhead, symphonies of enchantment and distant flutes mingle with the soft murmur of the wind.

We remember the boy who jumped over the flames
We reminisce the disguises and rituals
We recall the copper horn singing with the drums"
