Since its inception in 2022 - Victor Ruiz’ Lisbon based Volta Records has platformed electronic music that carries a certain, singular balance between melodic delicacy and percussive power.
The imprint has played host to artists such Tao Andra, Alex Stein and Lisa May and next up is a formidable 2-tracker from rising Rome based artist GIULIA (IT).
'Colors In Your Eyes' reflects the Volta canon perfectly as it sets a swooning, heartstring vocal soaring over the top of a thunderous kick. Bass synths saw through minor-key chord shifts while hats and claps ring out like polished swords.
'You Are Never Alone' follows up with another pacy Prog bass line that's set galloping over a powerful, tightly-woven groove. While digesting the global party scene in the UK, Netherlands, and Ibiza and learning from esteemed producers like Rudosa, Carl Bee and Jakob Gille Invertist has been quietly positioning himself to begin his pursuit.
