The Shunting Theme heared in "Thomas & the Trucks" is one I really enjoy listening to. The xylaphones give that silly vibe of the season 1 troublesome trucks. There're just things that make season 1 so charming and unique.
I wanted to give this theme another go. I needed a theme to practice the xylaphones and this was a perfect one. I even learned to play the theme more accurately now. I think this theme might be the most accurate to an original track I've ever done so far.

Here is a little composition of the Island of Sodor song I've made months ago. It's not the best, but I did give it a try.

Island Of Sodor Song Orchestrated

This track is an original big band chart that features Bari Sax and Tune Percussion on the lead melody.  It has three distinctive grooves; Triplet Swing, Swing and Shuffle.  It features trumpet 2 solo , trombone 1 solo and tenor 1 solo, each with optional tuned percussion solo or double.  The melodic line uses the compositional device of octave displacement. This is an original chart inspired by the Griffith Conservatory Con Artis Big Band and dedicated to John Hoffman the original conductor of the band.
