Hunter Starkings is a DJ, producer, and label boss from Los Angeles, CA who creates, releases and mixes psychedelic, breakbeat-heavy dance music inspired by sounds from around the world, both new and old. Originally an IDM producer heavily informed by an eclectic range of influences, Hunter is not bound by genres, and often mixes elements found across several styles. He uses his mixes to navigate his own emotions, and they are often journeys through countless genres, which he blends seamlessly to create a rich tapestry that displays a deep love and intimate knowledge of dance music’s history and future.

Already gaining support from those who inspired him, Hunter has been busy pumping out tracks, curating his label, earthlings radical audio, and for his high energy live sets. Look out for his upcoming releases on well respected labels across the globe throughout 2022 and 2023. He currently resides in eastern Tennessee but frequently travels to organize events in Los Angeles, New York, and Richmond, VA.

It was a pleasure to play for UPGRADE DnB in San Clemente along with MC's Woes, Werd and Slim!  The inspiration for this set came directly from my early days in drum and bass and more specifically the sounds of Dieselboy in the late 90s.  During this period DB combined deep, dark and edgy elements with hints of liquid on the SixEleven Mix Series, System Upgrade and A Soldiers Story releases.  His track selections and transitions during this period inspire my mixes today almost 20 years later.  Another huge inspiration of mine has been the Planet of the Drums recordings including the infamous AK1200, DJ Dara and ofcourse Dieselboy.  I would like to end by sending a huge shout out and thank you to Drew Massey aka Werd MC for having me out and dropping the proper rhymes along with MCs Woes and Slim! Earth witnesses yet another shift between the moon and the sun, as the ants below continue about their daily regimen. The winds start to blow more heavily under the fall sky. The rising, waxing moon welcomes the beats that bring back the primal state buried within us all. While the synthetic sounds and feels start to creep in and mesh with the organic rhythm of the drums of Jungle music. As the stars start to settle in the heavens above and shine down their dead light towards our feet nestled gently in the desert sand, two artists mesh as an instant cohesive unit; sharing their sounds and forming a bond within the music. As 2019 soon comes to an end, Exolinguist & Rebellion shared a beginning this eve at Mysticism. This is the end result of two separate entities coming together with no set agenda. Enjoy the sounds from a veteran desert journeyman and one of San Diego's  finest, straight from the Jungle."
