Over the past five years, Fever AM has given us a steady drip of exquisitely modern, genre-defying club music, from angular rhythm sculptures like Gacha Bakradze's "Daraji" to twisted party-rockers like Rhyw's "Biggest Bully."

To celebrate their fifth anniversary, label founders Mor Elian and Rhyw have put together a compilation that captures their strikingly fresh vision. "It's Not a Bug, It's a Feature" presents core Fever AM artists like Xen Chron and Ayesha alongside a few newcomers to the label, such as Pariah, MSJY, Peder Mannerfelt. Fans of the label know what to expect: soundsystem-tailored bangers with a surreal twist, for DJs that like to keep the crowd on their toes.

yet is a slippery word in English. Amorphous, these three letters in different contexts can define contrast or emphasis, set a place in time, show an expectation that something will occur or, paradoxically, that it is likely to stop. 

It is this mercurial nature that makes yet the perfect title for Tresor's latest compilation: the label follows on from the more explorative sections of 2021's landmark Tresor 30 boxed set with a compilation, featuring 13 artists making music that resists easy definition. 

Every track hints at and borrows from the familiar yet none follow the expected path: halfway through Deserto, Nandele &amp; A-Tweed dramatically reveal a very different sonic landscape that was initially suggested; DJ Sotofett collaborates with Tamil artist Kavadi with results that are unlike anything in the Norwegian producer’s catalogue as yet.

Further invention can be found as Jean Redondo's Hypersonic moves across spaces inhabited by digital hardcore and hyperpop before swerving off-road and into a futuristic hip-hop section; on No Longer Human, Ireen Amnes takes a different path at the crossroads melding hyperpop, trance, and sci-fi soundtrack atmospherics, Significant Other heads towards UK Bass and Dubstep, and France's Willis Anne skims by the outskirts of footwork with a piece that is almost completely uncategorisable.

Yet more sonic experimentation comes from E-Saggila, Nadia Struiwigh, NVST, Solid Blake, and Viikatory who offer unique takes on the well-established electro blueprint, while Ryan James Ford, and Nit. both find ways to blend elements normally found in ambient pieces with those heard on a dancefloor.

The feel of the compilation is yet again reflected in the enigmatic artwork by Malik Arbab, where shapes and colours suggest animals and plants but in a world that appears to be transient and constantly evolving.

A shapeshifter across strains of biologic club environs and tender sculptural soundscapes, this project finds Tristan Arp testing the elasticity of his own sonic blueprint through an exploration of varicolored intensity, mischief, and evolution.

Inspired by the sci-fi writings of Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower and Bo-Young Kim’s “An Evolutionary Myth,” the fluidity of free jazz innovator Ornette Coleman, and a fascination with alchemy, these four tracks are designed for freak-time club rapture.

What would it sound like if one could alchemize a self that is beyond the sum of all our parts. Would it make a sound? Would it have a shape? Would it have a body?

I started a short movie project in 2006. It was a self-production i directed, a fake trailer for a non existing movie. I made the music and the sound design. Unfortunately, i never finished the movie... 
So, this track is strongly based on the original music and the sound design from this non existing trailer for a non existing movie.
No "bling blang boom FX" dedicated plug-in or soundbank has been used for this track.

Childhood best friends Luca Medici and Delbert Perez have been creating art together as INVT for almost a decade, a project that spans sound system music and streetwear. Before gaining international recognition and performing at major events like Circoloco, Fabric, Panorama Bar, and Boiler Room, the Miami duo built a strong local community through their DJing, live hardware sets, and prolific output of music releases and fashion collections.

     Their music blends electronic dance genres like, techno, uk bass, and tribal house with Latin genres like cumbia and dembow. Reflecting Miami's diverse culture and drawing from their Hispanic heritage, their genre-blending productions ignite dancefloors around the world.      INVT has amassed an impressive catalog of over 200 songs, known for deep, swinging drums and trippy textures, released at a rapid pace. They regularly tour the globe and have gone b2b with renowned artists such as Skream, Skee Mask, DJ Python, and more. Their drive and creativity have propelled their careers while also shining a spotlight on other Miami talents, making INVT a key force in the global electronic music scene.
