As much as I value subjective creativity in my art, I also value the suggested subjectivity of the interpretation of what my art can create in others’ minds, which is why, as an artist, I don’t wish to be the chemist or teacher who exemplifies in depth what I meant in each line. But to briefly mention: this song is about inclusivity and the positivity love can bring, and it does so by pushing the negative stereotypes based on gender or expected societal roles, instead of focusing on what is human aside. It’s an anthem to remind all of us that our identity, our perspective, and our love matter, whoever we are. It’s about stories that may not always be understood easily by everyone, with messages about why external validation should never be the center of love. It’s about the exclusivity of inclusivity. It’s fun. It’s uplifting. It’s to inspire you to use the most important word in all languages with no fear, no shame, or hesitation: “love!”  

I hope “Boys Love Boys” can open multiple doors in your beautiful hearts, and that it fills your day with positivity anytime you listen to it!
