The NOR instrument, in a prototype state, has been built to experience materials reactions in many ways. Its modular form, allow to use different tools and new parts to explore the sonic variations of its curved metal plate core. 
This first approach was live recorded while routed and operated in a numeric audio signal chain.  

The endless possibilities of this process, offer to the user, to the listener, a passion for this sonic field. An ethereal rhythmic composition, unstructured but contained. Paradoxically, a certain creative limitation. 

As a prototype version, this instrument will grow, get improved, and cleaned up; to let the place to a more advanced unit.

Here is an interpretation of this new version of NOR instrument. Multilayered, this track allow to fully understand the multiple sonic capabilities of the structure.

As an evolved version of the previous prototype,
the NOR{a offers an improved material resonance.
and acoustic response. Because of the aluminium choice for the main plate, the sonic capabilities are extended, the lines and the mounting methods permit the instrument to move, and acting like a living element. Using theses movements possibilities, the tonal form constantly change on each impacts or simple contacts.
