Planet Keno calling the fish base! JEAHMON! continues with another Indie hymn, this time by mister David Keno, known from many releases over the past two decades – so no need to introduce the captain of this single release called “Forever”. A melody line that stays in your ears, moves your feet and makes you smile. A track to remember with a returning harmony line that never gets boring. By looking for a contrast interpretation we ran into open doors by requesting Portuguese born and Berlin based producer Jepe (Diynamic/AEON/Multinotes) who gives this beauty its very specific touch. Today’s premiere lands squarely on the shoulders of Peter Kersten aka Lawrence. Our long-term love affair with his work hasn’t changed a bit through the years, as his music is always in the crates. Additionally to see his latest as a return to the legendary Smallville, only good things must await.

In its entirety, the Gravity Hill EP encompasses all that we’ve come to love about Lawrences’ work, the wobbly bass lines, ethereal floaty moments, all wrapped in a minimal, pristine percussion package. The groove, the essence, leads to wonderful moments both on and off the dance floor. Subtly is the name of this game.

Stargazer rounds out the EP which, as the label states, shifts back to a more straight, dance floor oriented feel via a twitchy acid bass, circling resonant synth licks, hypnotic textures and a swinging drum groove. Definitely one for those early morning vibes, as the sun rises on another day and the people party on.

Stargazer, and the rest of the Gravity Hill EP will be released on March 1st.

Now based in Stockholm, his music journey started circa 2005 in Skopje by following closely the work of his friends and well known DJ’s and producers Dusko Janevski and Robotek, creating electronic music apt for the dancefloor. He has released several EP’s for Juan’s Kitchen Delights Recordings and has also released for LAUS Records and 2 Rhythm 4 Record. Some of his favorite artists include Lawrence (Sten), Carsten Jost and Tim Paris, a fact that shows the many shades to be found in his work.
