Med School are extremely excited to present the “Losing My Mind” EP, our final release of 2014 and the debut solo release from the label’s latest signing, Anile.

Since joining the label back in May of this year, following a handful of releases on both Med School and Hospital, Anile has worked tirelessly to craft this elegant and sophisticated four-track EP. The title track combines bold brass stabs, brooding string sections and an indelible vocal hook into an alluring drum & bass roller. Throughout the rest of the assembly you can be sure to dote on a brew of deep-seated basslines, thoughtful musicality and rolling breaks.

Having delivered a scintillating remix of Blu Mar Ten earlier this year and with releases on the likes of Soul:r and Commercial Suicide, Anile looks to further cement his sound in the drum & bass consciousness with this latest collection of tracks on Med School. This is one for the discerning DJ and the astute listener alike.

​Tokyo Prose's debut album, 'Presence', was one of our favourite drum 'n' bass records last year. 

The New Zealander treated us to 13 tracks of delicate, dreamy melodies, sublime, chilling vocals and a tidy list of collaborators including Lenzman, DRS, LSB, Riya and Synkro. 

He's back on Samurai Music with his 'Dawn Chorus' EP next month, equipped with four more tunes geared towards maximum relaxtion.

It's always a rough ride when Dub Phizix is at the wheel. The Mancunian producer's drum 'n' bass is a turbulent, bumpy trip and it moves at such a breakneck speed even a yank at the handbrake would struggle to bring it to a halt.

Their latest EP. Pictures In My Mind, continues their journey up the DNB ranks as two producers to look out for. Four tracks of liquid gold to soothe the soul, including the title track ‘Pictures In My Mind’ featuring Mr. Porter on vocals, a Goldfat regular and frequent drum and bass vocalist across the scene.

Spanning the broad spectrum of drum & bass that the Critical sound represents, the exceptional ‘15’ album is as bold as it is beautiful and looks to serve the test of time in the D&B history books.

“Over the past 15 years the label I started as a hobby, as a way to involve myself in drum and bass, has taken over my life. I’m so lucky to have worked with such incredible artists, have them realise their creativity, and travelled all over the world spreading the sound I love.

I deliberated for a long time over what type of record we should put together to celebrate reaching both our 15th birthday and 100th release. I like to think of us as a label that looks forward, that focuses on what the future holds and on how to make statements without sacrificing our core ideals, to release exciting music centred around the 170bpm tempo. So with this in mind I wanted the LP to be about where the label is now and where it’s going, a snapshot of the music that represents the Critical sound by core label acts and some choice friends.
