Codename: RCRDS continue a new trilogy of Various Artist releases with Distant Memories EP, which sees the label bring together a selection of the finest talents in the Atmospheric DnB scene.

The EP opens with label newcomer Microcosm who brings us ‘Journey Of A Thousand Miles’ a beautiful driving atmospheric jungle roller, full of warped bass and lush strings and pads.

Another label debutant, fast-rising TRC2, moves things into a darker direction with ‘There Is a Flame’, an ominous techy roller built for the dancefloor and the head with its intricately programmed breaks and distorted bass tones.

Things continue with Codename favourite NonRev delivering ‘As We Are’, where ominous siren-esque tones meet snappy rolling breaks and his trademark lush production.  This prolific producer continues to be one to watch.

The EP closes with a typically gorgeous roller from the inimitable Okee, interspersing catchy vocals with fresh strings and gorgeous keys and synth tones, to close this second part of the ‘Distant’ series on a high.

The prolific Perspective:R returns with 4 more atmospheric cuts that are full of nostalgic touches. The title track begins proceedings as 'Rays of R' envelopes the listener with otherworldy melodics and infectious drum work. The beauty continues with Supersonic Travelling; a relaxed cerebral journey complete with drifting space-age pads and punchy drums. Next up,  Light and Dark rolls along serenely with dynamic breaks, layers of pads and melodic twinkles before Through the Veins ends the EP, taking the listener right back to the 90's with its stuttering breaks and expressive pads.

NonRev has been making a lot of noise in the world of Jungle and Drum & Bass in 2023. As can be expected he throws down some heat on his first outing with Wicked Jungle Records. 
Baby Just Ask Me and Run With the Dogs are both masterful blends of modern rolling Jungle breakbeats, deep reese style bass, horns and airy synths. Combining this with the the use of little bits of hardcore piano coming and going among jungle sfx and tribal soundscapes, NonRev manages to be both deep and in your face at the same time.

Keeping the momentum going with its delivery of expertly crafted, deep drum & bass cuts, Ion Drive Music presents up and coming producer, Echo 1's forthcoming release the 'Skynets Dream EP'. Opening up with the brooding sci-fi stepper 'Skyward' which fuses together frenetic breaks and harsh synths to devastating effect. 'Rhythm Maker' offers up a potent, future-liquid flavour while the luscious 'Something Like This' lays down a soulful groove over a relentless 2-Step drum pattern. Echo 1 then injects exhilarating R&B elements and rapid-fire breaks into the mix with 'The Flash' before the EP is brought to an explosive conclusion with the soothing 'When You Feel The Music'. With the 'Skynets Dream EP' Ion Drive Music and Echo 1 offer an essential selection of precision crafted, atmospheric soundscapes to compliment any forward thinking D&B set.

Hailing from Sheffield, UK, Charla Green stands as a force in the world of jungle and drum and bass. A versatile artist, she wears multiple hats, excelling as a producer, DJ, and singer/songwriter. Her vibrant and high-energy sets have graced events worldwide, including appearances at Sun & Bass Festival in Italy, Boomtown Festival, Balter Festival, and London nightclubs Fabric and XOYO, as well as Lakota Bristol.

Charla's musical footprint extends across a plethora of labels with releases on Drum & Bass Arena, Boey Audio, OFF ME NUT Records, UK Jungle Records, Deep In The Jungle Records, and many more. Her tracks have also features on the airwaves of BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, and Rinse FM.

A resident of WubClub and a regular collaborator with the Off Me Nut crew, Charla's dedication to the UK Jungle scene is palpable. In 2020, she was chosen as one of only six participants in the EQ50 mentorship scheme, a program led by industry DJ Mantra, DJ Flight, MC Chickaboo, Sweetpea, Alley Cat, and Jenna G. During this mentorship, Charla worked with the legendary Digital at Function Records.

Throughout her journey, Charla has shared stages with an impressive array of artists, including, but not limtied to, S.P.Y, MC Chickaboo, Inja, Voltage, 4am Kru, LTJ Bookem, Digital, Kiljoy, Doc Scott, DJ Flight, Mungo's HiFi, Mandidextrous, Dillinja, Randall, Bryan Gee, DJ Storm, Kyrist, and Goldie.
