Some time back in 1989 my dad came home from a work trip and had found this cassette in France with a collection of synth covers. There was one song in particular that went straight to my heart, and has stayed ever since as the goto song if I need cheering up. Paolo Pelandi's "Générique Top 50" which is a pretty different remake of the original. However, I had never heard that one, so this cover version has since then been my favourite synthwave/italodisco song. 

I've tried numerous times to cover it myself and even played it live on a borrowed Roland JW-50 and my Technics KN-1000 at my high school graduation party. It wasn't until now that I finally got around to crack the code of keeping the feel and flow of the original.
