The DJ set from Hadra Festival 2024 Main Stage, biggest psytrance festival in France with over 10,000 attendees and one of the oldest and most established psychedelic gatherings in Europe. I played on Sunday morning starting 7:00 AM, last day of the festival. Twilight vibes in the beginning, slowly driving the audience into a deeper more settled sunny sound. Exploring as usually various grooves and rhythms, faithfully reflecting my eclectic tastes in music and my versatile approach to mixing. A journey that starts at 148 BPM and ends at 142. There’s a certain ease with which Paul Kenny moves between instruments, machines, and the dancefloor. Born in Naples, Paolo Canale grew up with music always within reach — first through guitar and keyboards, then through the pull of club culture that would ultimately shape his path. What began as a curiosity soon became craft, as he learned to translate emotion into rhythm, releasing on vinyl and digital, both solo and with collaborators under the Bhoo project.
From Naples to Riccione, from Belgium to beyond, Paul has left his mark on clubs and festivals where the energy never fades. For years he held down Arenile, co-founded the Clubbingzone project, and built nights that brought international names to local stages — a journey that has seen him share booths with artists like Solomun, Nina Kraviz, Joris Voorn, and Stephan Bodzin, yet always with his own sound at the center.
What defines Paul Kenny isn’t just the list of names or venues, but the way he builds an atmosphere. His sets carry a natural flow — sensual, hypnotic, and designed to draw dancers into a space where time bends to groove. It’s music that doesn’t shout for attention but holds it, creating memories long after the lights come on.
Now, for MUSICUNEED, Paul Kenny brings that philosophy to MuNcast: a carefully sculpted mix that reflects both his history and his vision, keeping the dancefloor alive with the kind of energy that only comes from experience.

Cathar, System E - Voices from Beyond (Original Mix)

In the last decade Berlin became a magnetic force of culture. With an enormous appeal to artists from all areas of expertise including music, design, architecture, theatre, dance and everything that helps the evolution of imagination and creativity. This is why it should come to no surprise that it is the birth place of both Iono Music and its founder - Matthias Sperlich.

Like many other labels, Iono Music was born in order to give its founder, Cubixx aka Matthias Sperlich, the freedom he needed to release his first creation as Koaxkaos – "Evolutyon". After he met Murus in 2003 at a Psytrance festival, they started working together for several years, and so Iono Music was established in 2005. Unlike many other labels, which are affected by fashion, hype and commercial factors, Iono Music has been motivated by the radiation that the music transmits and the way the body reacts to it. If the music changes the molecules and atoms into ion then it means it has been ionized*. The Ionization process can only be fully successful if your music is high quality Electronic music. Iono Music's main emphasis is on Progressive Psytrance and yet any Electronic style is accepted as long as it stands out of the others – after all it has to reach the top atmosphere to be an Iono…

Matthias Sperlich was born in 1977 in Berlin, Germany. He has over 15 years of experience behind the decks and has a long time love affair with electronic music. He works as a professional VFX artist for cinema and TV, which allows him to pursue his passion and vision of extraordinary music, while being guided by his perfectionist's standards. Since the beginning Cubixx knew that Iono Music could succeed only if he chooses each artist with extra care, examining every aspect to see if they belong in the Iono family. Thus all the artists and dj's you see in our website were picked one by one, after proving to be not only excellent artists but also great people.

Iono Music never stops to evolve, always being one step ahead with technology and new initiatives it had grown to be an exciting international label. Always on the move, Iono Music promises to give you the top notch music this atmosphere can offer.
