For our first release of 2018 and our 11th year in the game, we kick off proceedings with Jicheal Mackson. The highly in demand producer and live artist drops another forward thinking offering on our imprint. On the A side he delivers Carneval, its an underground disco themed cut with hypnotic highs, a groovy bassline and intricate drum programming that evolves through out, vocal murmurs add to the ambiance
and complete this winner. Jichael switches things up on the B side (vinyl only) with Odyssey, this is a more stripped down and trippy affair with break beat drum programming merged with 4/4 swing, white noise slashes and drones set the mood for dark little number. On B2, he lifts the mood with Kraut, a more upbeat offering, driven with a bouncy bass groove and intermittent lush pads he creates another groovy master piece perfect for a late night dance floor. This EP truly shows the diversity and talent of Jicheal Mackson and confirms Serialism never ending quest to deliver quality underground music...

Lyra is DeWaltas fourth large project and third full-length album following Wander in 2012 (on Haunt), llumination in 2014 (on Meander) and Dark Matter in 2017 (on Amphia).

The album consists of two individually available parts: a double LP (Lyra) with 6 tracks on Meander as well as a single LP (Lyra Pi) with 5 synth and ambient works. The Ambient-Part launches a new Meander Horizon Pi series-- a departure from Meander’s well known dancefloor releases.

Lyra is by far DeWaltas most extensive and refined project to date. With 11 exclusive songs, a total running time of over 100 minutes - plus a collaboration with long time friend and Meander co-owner Fabian Geimer-Lorusso aka. Jupiter - it marks a new beginning of ambient and score-like modern works as well as the continuation of his inspired intellectual-emotional approach to dance music.

Lyra is a star-constellation in the northern hemisphere which is highest in the midnight sky in the early summer months. It contains one of the brightest stars in the sky - Vega. Many of the songs on this album were produced in these warm and gentle months during an inspirational creative time in Portugal.

In Greek mythology, Lyra represents the Lyre of Orpheus, Apollo’s son. Made by Hermes from a tortoise-shell, it was given to Apollo who then passed it along to Orpheus. It is said to be the first music instrument ever made.

Ingiozov demonstrates natural minimalism throughout our latest release on Arupa Music. Field recordings combined with low swung beats; the highly-talented, low-key prolific, creates a release full of rhythmic energy.  ‘RKT8’ comes with immediate pace, a track glued together with uplifting pads and exciting drums, a special opening indeed. ‘Time’ is a steppy workout, building anticipation through enchanting drum rhythms and woozy bass. Straight back into business, ‘DME’ comes out swinging’ with a hypnotic melody and an absolute tease of a hook, tight drums and a pristine low end are graced with processed vocal cuts.  Anxiety builds through ‘One Short Story’, otherworldly synths and pads are directed by the drums, laden with tribal tom patterns. ‘Green Leaf’ closes out the release fantastically, with incredible audio pans encapsulating an amazing natural adventure.
