This marked my 10th year out on the blank canvas of creativity, known as the Playa.  It was unforgiving and magnificent and challenging and beautiful all at once. I tell myself every year, this may be my last, that the experience has pushed me to my limits of comfort, and patience.  But literally the second I get back to the default World,  I miss it dearly, and cannot wait to return. The last Come Down mix I made for Burning Man was 5 years ago, and with the explosion of energy and mega high vibes this year, I felt the calling to create another chill-out journey into sound. Think of this mix as your long Exodus back into reality.  Listen closely to the inspiring words of Larry Harvey sprinkled through out the set. This legendary man and his brilliant vision, which he so profoundly describes in his own poetically genius way, is the reason we all make the annual pilgrimage to this desolate barren land of LOVE. Seeing that huge sea of faces in front of me was so moving - all those people with their eyes closed, melancholic but smiling, exhausted yet still moving to the beat. What a view.

Wir wünschen allen dieses Jahr ganz besonders viel Gesundheit und Wohlergehen! Zudem blicken wir natürlich positiv ins neue Jahr und freuen uns spätestens gen Sommer wieder mit euch die Hüften zu schwingen. Um euch nicht komplett auf dem Trockenen sitzen zu lassen, haben wir heute wieder ein frisches Set für euch. Gezaubert und komponiert von unserer liebsten Frida :)

🌝 Du hast mal erzählt, dass du in einer Disco aufgewachsen bist - stimmt das? woran erinnerst du dich da gerne? 

Ja, das stimmt. Ich bin so richtig im Disco-Betrieb, den mein Dad in unserer kleinen Heimatstadt geleitet hat, groß geworden. Somit hab recht früh alles rund um diesen Bereich kennen gelernt. Das aufregendste war wohl, als mein Dad die ‚zu kleine Fridi‘ mal kurz Abends zu einer Schaumparty mitgenommen hat und ich den Schaum anfassen durfte. Danach musste ich aber ganz ganz schnell ins Bett und sollte es vor allem nicht in der Schule rum erzählen, haha. Als ich dann endlich alt genug war, war's für mich super spannend selbst mitzumachen. Über Garderobe und Bar sowie mit meinem Bruder zusammen die Kasse schmeißen, oder Booking Ideen einwerfen - ich durfte mich überall mal üben und hab durch das mitarbeiten sehr viel (kennen-)gelernt. Nur DJ war ich damals noch nicht, das kam dann erst ein paar Jahre später - aber sicherlich war ich in dieser Ambition kindlich geprägt. Irgendwie auch gerade dadurch mit dem Ziel, Musik etwas anders zu gestalten als die klassischen EDMigen Charts DJ Sets (งツ)ว 

🌝 Du hast bestimmt mal über die Leute nachgedacht, die sich dein Set anhören werden - was für ein Gefühl möchtest du ihnen am liebsten mit in den Tag geben?

Zwischen den Online Uni Vorlesungen saß ich in den letzten Wochen sehr gern mal wieder vor Recordbox und hab mir recht viele Gedanken über den Flow der Tracks ineinander gemacht. Mein Ziel war, dass sich das Set von selbst Trägt und positive Geschmeidigkeit mit ein bisschen Schwung ausstahlt. Damit möchte ich den HörerInnen einfach ne schöne Zeit beim Kochen, Baden, Joggen oder was auch immer machen. Das Set sind quasi wohlwollende Darko Grüße von meinem Zimmer in eure Zimmer! Bleibt stets liebevoll & neugierig - auf dass wir uns hoffentlich bald endlich mal wieder live sehen <3

Iorie is a producer, Liveact and DJ from Germany. He started young singing, playing instruments and combined it all later by starting to produce at the age of 15. His music ranges through all tempos always conjunct in the purpose to shake your body, move your heart and excite your mind. In his tracks he uses the sounds of his travels and tries to capture all the encounters that come along them in unique sound and personal, philosophical lyrics.
