I needed a clubbish sound for a birthday event in a nightclub, and dropped a song in as placeholder.  Months later, my daughter Chantal left me babysitting and it was way past the time she said she would be back.  I had my keyboard plugged in, so wrote this song in about half an hour, just to play for her when she got back (a light telling-off lol).  I ended up liking it enough to replace the placeholder song from the movie .. go figure!!

I never do covers.  I found myself experimenting with something like this track, then shortly after heard Berlin.  There was so much affinity with my song, but mine was wiped out by the beauty of Berlin, which just caught my breath.  I merged the two and used RyX's hooks, melody and lyrics, the result is now almost entirely Berlin, but so be it.  It ended up more of an expression than a creation, but I hope it can be taken as a tribute to the genius of RyX.
