On March 27, 1977, the deadliest disaster in aviation history unfolded at Los Rodeos Airport in Tenerife. Dense fog covered the runway as two fully loaded Boeing 747s—KLM Flight 4805 and Pan Am Flight 1736—prepared for departure. A series of tragic miscommunications led KLM Captain Jacob Van Zanten to attempt takeoff while Pan Am was still taxiing on the same runway. By the time they saw each other, it was too late. The KLM jet tried to climb but struck Pan Am at full speed, engulfing both aircraft in flames. 583 people lost their lives, with only 61 Pan Am passengers surviving.

At the tender age of 13, Paulo discovered his passion for music, immersing himself in the sounds of the piano, keyboards, and guitar. He admires legends such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Bob Dylan for their storytelling prowess, while also drawing inspiration from the melodic genius of Billy Joel and the powerful anthems of Journey and Van Halen.
