Ipnosea is an Italian DJ currently based in Barcelona, Spain. His name is a blend of "Ipno," derived from the Greek Hýpnos (meaning "sleep"), and "Sea" from English, symbolizing "Hypnotic Sea." This name encapsulates his approach to DJing: an ocean of sound that can shift from serene, warm, and sunlit, to stormy, intense, and mysterious, much like the varying moods of the sea.

Ipnosea’s musical style fuses primal rhythms with deep, seductive grooves, drawing from the raw techno of the 1990s, while incorporating modern influences from Minimal Dub, Drive, and Hypnotic sounds. Each of his performances aims to awaken the tribal, instinctual energy within the crowd, underscoring his belief in the deep, primal connection humans have with rhythm and groove.
