When writing the lyrics for this track, I was inspired by my experience with the Cosmic Core online community. That was indeed a truly unique experience for me to be part of the Cosmic Core community these last years. I was awed to see how we could collaborate online to build 3 full releases, from track creation to mastering, art, web-site and communication (https://cosmiccore.bandcamp.com/).

Four Tet Boiler Room London Live Show

From 1979 to 1981 the sound of ska ambushed the airwaves and launched a new scene in the post punk era. The Specials, The Beat, Madness and others mixed Caribbean rhythms, punk energy and a DIY attitude to create classic records that still fill dancefloors today.

 Looking at the story of the 2Tone record label, The Bandroom hosts a discussion on the music of that time, playing the iconic songs and looking at the very healthy ska scene in Ireland today.

Clive Baker grew up in Birmingham, home of UB40 and The Beat, only 25 miles down the road from Coventry where The Specials came from. Clive has years of gigging experience and shares his memories of the scene and the politics of the 2Tone era.

Vincent Foley plays saxophone with Cork's finest ska outfit The Service and is a confirmed Madness Fan. He brings his enthusiasm for the music to The Bandroom and shares his knowledge of the era and its origins.

a single moment your mind plays over and over...where for that single moment everything is aligned, and all fears, awkwardness and hesitations are vanished..but the instant you question the true end, the moment shuts down...as fast as your arms fall out of that embrace...it's gone forever... much much later still, you tell yourself in fantastic denial, that, perhaps, the real ending is still unknown, and it is yet to reveal itself truly, but time buries it. and you make a print of it ..some times in words, sometimes in song, and call it the master of the event :)

Frank Carroll aka iProv, a experimental electronic musician, producer and controllerist, has been involved in the music business for many years, and has been influenced by electronic music since the 80's. He believes that making music and performing it should be a visual as well as a musical experience. So, he is now dedicated to combining both organic and electronic sounds, and hopes to blend all genres creating dance, ambient and cinematic based music that also involves the visual aspects of performance. iProv, is now firmly involved in the fast emerging underground electronic music scene in Cork City, Ireland, playing local showcase gig such as Ctrl-Alt-Delete. iProv was recently featured as the "Demo of the Month" in Future Music Magazine (Oct 2011) for his mainstream dance track, T.G.I.F.

Controllerism is the art, performance and practice of using musical software controllers, e.g midi controllers, keyborads, drum pads, iPad etc., to build upon, mix, scratch, remix, effect, modify, or otherwise create music, usually by a Digital DJ or "controllerist".
